Editorial Review for Alhambra – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Like its namesake in Granada, Alhambra's decor features traces of Moorish influence. Intricate wrought iron arches that shelter women's clothing and jewelry evoke the Kasbah; thick carpets luxuriate on wood floors; tea is served at all hours. Amidst these trappings, sumptuous silks, original jewelry and 1930s teak furniture abound. Owners turn to New York, Paris, Milan and Istanbul for a women's wear collection that's a tasteful blend of fashion-forward and elegant classics.

Alhambra is my favorite boutique in Seattle. It is one of the only stores with a cohesive and well-chosen selection of formal and semi-formal dress, featuring Bianca Nero, Graham & Spencer, etc. I brought my mother to the store and found the styles to be accessible to her generation as well as mine. They have gorgeous light-weight cashmere sweaters, with a variety of necklines, and an interesting and varied selection of tops and pants. They also go outside of the box on the designers they carry, and I love their vintage fabric line (Burning Torch?). Huge fan of this store.
Pros: selection outside of the traditional boutique box
Cons: stringent return policy
