Poor business practices, inflated prices, sales pressure, and poor merchandise quality! DO NOT SHOP HERE!! My sister-in-law and I stopped in and I bought a dress that I found to have construction flaws when I examined it at home. The next day I took it in to return or exchange and the shop women would NOT accept the dress back - tags were on it, the dress was not worn, but they said the sale was final. Unbelieveable!!

My sister-in-law bought a cute top that started coming apart the first time she wore it. For the supposed "discounted" prices we paid, we are extremely disappointed.

I will NEVER shop here again! You should think twice about going in, even though the window displays show very cute merchanise.

I was RIPPED OFF by these ladies!!!. DO NOT shop here. I was RIPPED OFF by the ladies of this store!!!!

I came in because I saw they had a sale on shoes, which as the prior reviews are correct, they have very lovely, expensive Italian shoes. They happen to have boots on sale as well as clothing on a rack that was marked 40% off. Since I was in the market for a raincoat I found one off the 40% rack for $390. I also tried on several other pieces of clothing and shoes and ended up with quite the haul.

After the ladies totaled up my purchases the final amount was quite large and I didn't think much of it, expect they had done all the calculations by hand. . . . . . .This should have been my first warning sign!

When I got home I started to look at the price tags on the clothes and compare with the receipt and I discovered everything that had been on the 40% rack, had been 'remarked' to a higher price and then the 40% had been taken off. My $390 coat which in my head I had estimated to have cost ~$235 after 40% off had been remarked to be $590. . . . You could still see the 3 behind the 5!!!! They then charged me $354 for the coat!!!

I don't know what kind of shady practices are going on here, but remarking up tags at the time of purchase is completely dishonest and unacceptable.

I would never in a million years shop here ever again. If you choose to, be careful and bring your own calculator and keep and eye on their pens!

Beautiful soft Italian Leather Shoes. Maggie's Shoes (near Pike Place Market - but not in it), has the best selection of handmade italian leather shoes. So stylish and like putting your feet in warm butter (in a soft way, not a gross way). Maggie is very friendly and her sales staff seem to know what will fit your feet as well as your budget.

Horrendous Customer Service. I have been a loyal customer at Maggie's for some time now. I believe it came under new ownership a few years ago. I bought a pair of new boots that were very expensive. Less than one month after I had bought them a piece of major detailing just FELL OFF one of the boots (it looks like it had just been rubber cemented on; certainly not something you would expect from very expensive leather boots.) I have spent lots of money at this store and thought for sure they would either be able to repair the boot for me or offer a refund. They did neither. They were rude and blamed it on "wear and tear." (I wore the boots perhaps twice). Every time I have gone in there recently the music has been so loud that I can barely hear myself and the sales staff is INCREDIBLY pushy. I was willing to endure the changes since I have enjoyed their shoes and thought that customer service (albeit more gruff now) was still important to them. Not anymore. DO NOT GO THERE. You will be disappointed.

Put your trust in Maggie's Italian footwear, personally tested for comfort and high style.. In Short
Shop-owner 'Maggie' (short for Magdalena) travels to Italy, deals with about four Italian shoe manufacturers and puts her own label on exquisitely designed, well-crafted shoes. As Maggie put it, "I try on and test every single pair of shoes. They must be beautiful and comfortable or I don't sell them!" You'll find delectable, round-toed slides in soft pink or lavender; black or gray patent wedges with gun-metal straps; men's black suede clogs and black calfskin open-weave oxfords.

Maggie saved the day. One Sunday afternoon, I was searching for my girlfriends birthday gift. I could not find anything until I tripped in front of Maggie's. I never trip and thought this might be a sign. Maggie and staff instantly greeted me and I told her my dilemma. She asked me questions about my girlfriends style and knew immediately what I would work. My girlfriend loved the purse. Definitely check out this little boutique just east of Pike Place for one of a kind shoes (men / women), clothing, and accessories. Maggie will even tell you a story or two.
