best Hazelnut Gelato. Love the various flavors offered and the gelato flavors are not super sweet like some places. Definitely hits the spot on a warm day shopping downtown!
Bella Gelato!.
A taste of Italy's best gelato in the heart of Seattle! So many flavors (berries, chocolates, citrus, oh my!) to choose from and combine. I luxuriate over each bite, savoring every moment. The gelato cakes are works of art and a special treat to bring home for birthdays and holidays or any day!
Also a great place to have a sandwich and save room for dessert!
I love the smiles on the faces of the staff.
This is a genuine Italian place and worth going for the first time and going back again!
The Best Gelato in Seattle! Hands Down. Pistacchio, Nocciola, Cocco, and Pumpkin PIe! You kidding me! You can't go wrong with any flavor you choose at Gelatiamo. So take your time to choose, the friendly staff will gladly give you many samples of their fine selection of gelati, as well as offer suggestions of their favs. What really impressed me about this upscale ice cream.. I mean Gelato! paradise was the inside of the store... Plenty of seating, although it was crowded I can see why people would want to stay the place is gorgeous. And my gelato was served to me at my table! Ahhh La bella Vita! Right here in Seattle! Need I say more! I guess the only problem for me is that I don't make it to downtown Seattle enough, But I checked their website and there are many other places to find their product.
The Best!.
I have been a fan of Gelatiamo for ten years now and I think it is the best place in the world for gelato!
I love Italy and have been there many times and let me tell you, what you find at Gelatiamo is even better then what I had in italy. The place is beautiful and with the recent remodeling it got even better. The staff is good, the quality of all their products is fantastic. I just wish they were open later............
Horrible Customer Service. On Friday August 8th with a group of 4 adults, we had a fabulous dinner at Wild Ginger and decided to walk across the street to get desserts at Gelatiamo. It was 7:55pm. We walked in to find hostile teenage girls behind the counter announcing that they were closed. We first thought they were joking with us, but they made it abundantly clear they were not, and I quote, "we're closed, we have to get out of here". I was disgusted with their attitudes, let alone their complete lack of customer service. The doors to the business were open and the girls were standing behind the counters as if waiting for customers, not doing any closing tasks. I would suggest to the owners and manager of this establishment teach their employees how to properly conduct themselves and customers that walk in 5 minutes before closing are still customers who have money to spend. Gelatiamo made it clear they don't need our business. We will be frequent visitors to Seattle for our own business purposes and will not be visiting Gelatiamo or taking our clients there.
Pumpkin gelato=amazing. It's fall and there's only one place to find me: At Gelatiamo for the seasonal pumpkin gelato. Like pie in an ice cream dish. The other flavors are equally excellent, but the pumpkin is the stuff of dreams. There are also a bunch of cakes for sale that look incredible but I've never tried them. And good coffee.
A Walnut Chocolate Caramel Tart = Heaven. Gelatiamo has been one of my stops in the morning- really pleasant service and good coffee. I've tried differet pastries there...some are worth it, some aren't. I have to say their little quiches are delicious, a custardy napoleon style cake was very good, and then there is this walnut tart... with caramel and chocolate. And it is tremendous. A must-try. There is even a mini version of it you can buy for .75 cents... but really, you might as well get the big one. It's THAT good.
Editorial Review. Authentic, refreshing gelato in inventive flavors lures lures downtown shoppers to this colorful ice cream shop.
Yummy gelato!. One of my Italian friends recommended this place... I wasn't quite sure where it was until I happened to find myself one evening at Benaroya a bit too early. Very good gelato and a nice cozy European cafe atmosphere. The staff was friendly. Other desserts looked appealing, but one can only have so much sugar...
disappointed. I was very excited about this place because of the great reviews. However, after the half-way through my gelato, I was disapointed in the flavor. First of all, if you're looking for authentic-italian style gelato, this is NOT the place to go. The flavors are not as flavorful as they should be--perhaps this is due to the overpowering sweetness of the gelato. I have tried 4 flavors, and they all seemed too sweet, that you couldn't taste the flavor! Secondly, I went on a sunny day (when most people crave icecream) and the place did not have airconditioning; it was like an oven--which made it very uncomfortable. Overall, I was very disapointed in my gelato experience. :(
