I'd always wondered what turkish delight was after reading a Wrinkle in Time as a kid. Well, I finally found out. It's a gelatin type candy, kind of like an Aplet or Cotlet. But, there are many more interesting flavors than Aplets or Cotlets, including rosewater, different nut flavors, etc. I personally think these are delicious, although some people think they are weird because of the gelatin quality.

You may have to line up to buy your lunch, but it'll be well worth the wait. Food can be ordered to go or to eat at one of the tables in the shop. It only seats about 20, but there's a wonderful green park across the street for enjoying your meal. Please note that they only accepts cash or local checks.

If your gonna stop here get the Lentil soup(subtly spicey and good texture) for 3 bucks with a pita. have her smear some hummus on the pita for a buck more. Its amazing and the only fair priced item on the menu. everything else you can get eslewhere cheap and tastier..
