Koji Osakaya, a restaurant gracefully situated in the proximity of the Harbor Steps, serves as one of the many Japanese dining locales in Seattle. But don't be mistaken by the looks of this place (it looks alright), but as I stepped inside on a weary day- in hopes to see comfort on Spicy Tuna Roll (my favorite food can always brighten my day), it came as nothing as I've expected. The tuna was in scraps of probably something left over, and does not appear to be too fresh at all. The maki was small and loopsided, and overall, this experience cost me $6.50 for some rotten fish. As I tried to make eye contact with the chef, wondering about if this dish was mine, he was too busy concentrating on watching Sumo wrestlers on TV, rather than his customers and his food preparation. If you want that type of atmosphere, you might as well put in half of that amount that I've paid for and go to a local sports bar. PROS: good location, easy to find CONS: customer service, food, quality of food

We stayed for couple of weeks ar Harbor Steps, and couldn't miss this restaurant. The adress is a little confusing, the restaurant is at Harbor Steps, right where it intersects the Post Alley. They are the best. The food is very good, the service is all you would expect in a japanese restaurant (it means very good service). The decor is inviting. Best. If you want a special dinner - and you like japanse food- go there. PROS: best japanese food, best service, free delivery at Harbor steps CONS: a little pricey (but well worth it!)

This is just what the doctor ordered -- unpretentious Japanese food with awesome service and a great atmosphere! We're in from San Francisco, and we desperately needed some regular Japanese food -- not fancy sushi or fusion food. I highly recommend this little jem!
