Food Born Illness

My boyfriend and I had the unfortunate experience of dining at The Georgian the night before Thanksgiving. Instead of spending Thanksgiving day with friends and family, the day was spent throwing up from 3 am to 5 pm. This not only ruined our Thanksgiving plans, but also the next 4 days as we tried to recover. It took 5 calls to various managers before I heard a response to my complaint. Needless to say, I will never dine at The Georgian again.
- Cons: Lack of response when reported a serious problem.
Oh. My. God. Absolutely dazzling!

We've dined at the Georgian before and liked it. This was our first trip since the menu revamp and the introduction of the seven-course tasting menu, which we chose. First, let me say, I love tasting menus and have enjoyed them at some of the best restaurants in the country -- Per Se, Gary Danko, and even the Herbfarm here in Seattle. This way my first experience of every course being absolutely PERFECT. Each bite was absolutely bursting with flavor and done to absolute perfection. With every course, my dining companion looked at each other with wonderment. There wasn't a weak dish in the bunch. And the portion size was perfect. We left filled complete, but not stuffed (unlike the Herbfarm, where I left still hungry). And there quite generous with the wine pairings -- we rarely finished a glass. And, it's cheaper than most tasting menus too! What more can I say? It was simply the best meal I've even had in my life.
- Pros: perfect food, glorious ambiance
- Cons: none

Little imagination for this class of dinning. Dishes are either overpowering or tasteless. The side dishes are the mostly the same for all meals. Best part of dinning is the platting. Seattle has much better choices.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Food
