I Love Lowell's!.
Some of the things I love about Lowell's:
1. The views... the first being the natural view of the water from the windows, and the second being the view of all of the different types of people who come in there while they visit the market.
2. The staff, they are so friendly!
3. The bar: this is the best place to grab mimosas and bloody Marys (and if need be-- jaeger shots) with a group of friends the morning after a rough one.
4. The food is really good too. I mean, you are not going to find anything gourmet, but delish for sure.
Seattle's favorite Egg's Benedict. Seattle's favorite Egg's Benedict (get them with the crab), and for sure Seattle's best view, this place is not to miss. For an easy breakfast, just order at the counter on the market level, then saunter up to the 3rd floor for non-stop views of waterfront and ferry action. It is such the Seattle breakfast/brunch/lunch spot that I can't believe I just discovered it!
Fun place to take out of town friends. My cousins are here from the Boston area so we took them down to market and had a fun lunch at Lowell's. My cuz really liked the view of the sound and the energy of the place with all the people. Good variety on the menu. Good times!
this place pretty much sucked although.......
out of all the "famous" fish & chips I've had these were pretty good. fries were a little under cooked for my liking and why not just put a little more on the plate.
grilled wild king salmon was a little over cooked but i still liked it. it was my wifes dish. she did not like it and for $20 don't serve me old nasty green beans on my plate.
OK HERE GOES THE RANT!!!... server girl with the southern accent was so nice when she sat us down I guess thats the only effort she's willing to put in...like thats suppose to get u a good tip and customers to come back... besides the two main dishes ive mentioned we ordered calamari which NEVER came. it got to the people that came in 10 minutes after us and way before we got our food. anyways The lemonade is nasty just like the other reviewer mentioned.. its a joke!! the server couldn't figure out how we didn't get our calamari and she has NEVER seen anything like that before and then half a**ly blamed it on the food runner.. ok if u work in a restaurant uve seen this before and totally understand that this kind of thing happens every once in a while. All she had to do was come check on us just once after she took our order and I would of said something earlier on ...anyways she did take off the price of the calamari which we never got and that nasty a** lemonade which we never complained about nor did we complain about the green beans that were old yellow and wilted thats because we already knew we were NEVER coming back to this place.
NO THIS IS NOT AN ANONYMOUS BLIND SIDE FROM AN EX EMPLOYEE... LOL just a local dude and his wife that wanted to try something new and got suckered into a view and the scenery. this place is a tourist trap.
THE ONLY GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM PEOPLE THAT ARE INVESTED IN THIS PLACE HAHA WHAT A JOKE!!!!
A MUST GO TO RESTAURANT.
On Monday, July 19, 2010, at 5:45 p.m., my wife and I walked over to the Pike Place Market. We observed a restaurant called the Lowell's. my wife and I entered the establishment and we were welcomed. The cashier greeted us with a smile and she was very helpful. We gave our order and pay for our meal. The cashier suggested that we have a seat on third floor to get a better view of the bay. The waiter brought our food out to our table
arrange beautifully and on top of that very taste. I suggest that if you are in town make sure you get there. Lowell's
We're better then that faux review! (Defensive, yes I am!).
If we mess up, we fess up. I only defend us out of pride towards my staff, and the knowledge that we will do everything in our power to make guests happy in a chaotic world.
If anyone brings a negative incident to our attention, we make it right and refund the cost. What an unfair slam!
Peace-Love-Laughter to even the haters
Tourist Trap: Overly Expensive $ Mediocre Food. I accidentally ended up in this place.WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!
We'll be back, thanks Nate!. Margaritas, fun bartender (nate) and awesome fish & chips. Don't want to go back to Indiana! Open one there, we'll build a lake for ya.
Thank you, breakfast rocked!. Good times. great food and super casual attitude and atmosphere. Great view of ships going to port, funky way of getting your breakfast on, climbing flights of stairs, but pretty hilarious. It works, we liked everything we had. We'll be back for fish & chips, give the other meals a try. Good show guys.
Awesome time in Seattle, thanks!. The cute little Hawaiian bartender food server that was laughing and joking with everyone and the window table while we ate their awesome halibut & chips. Great selection of drinks, this is a gem of a place. Reminds me of old Barnaby's overlooking the water in Sausalito in the 70's. Real place with fresh food. Except for the drunk clowns that wandered into the bathroom and started talking about scoring at the bar down the street, all cool!
