view & uploadBit of a culinary lazy place. I went there one evening, ordered a pasta dish, I just happened to sit where I could see the food be prepared. It looked like the food came out of a jar, and the pasta came out of a pre-made container. I also ordered the Tiramisu, but that came out of a styrofoam take out box. The food was good, but I was a little disappointed with how little cooking they did.
Interesting Combo.... So Bruno is an adorable Italian man with traditional recipes and his wife is Mexican with her own traditional recipes. Interesting combo and it works. This place is great for before the theater and has been in a great location for years! Love the place. It's old school italian iwth a homey vibe!
Avoid at all cost. I had a chicken chimichanga about a month ago and it was a little better than dog food. The salsa is like a soupy tobasco sauce and tasted awful. Unfortunately for me, I went back with a large group recently and decided to try ordering one of the Italian menu items. I ordered a calzone that tasted like eating an old dirty leather shoe. It's was about 99% bread and was almost completely empty. This is the last time I ever go back. Not one person in the group I was with enjoyed the food they were served. The service was very good though.
Great Food! Great Service! A Place to Truly Relax and Unwind.
I first ate at Bruno's in 1983. It was good then and it is good now! This is one restaurant which has maintained consistency and where I've never had anything but great experiences both in food and service.
Bruno is a legend himself! He opened in the early 1970's and has been very successful because he knows what customers like. Good food, good service, and not to be rushed. He also offers a large variety of food. Where else can one get Mexican OR Italian food in the same place?
Being in Bruno's makes one think they are in a neighborhood restaurant. It is that comfortable...yet it is in the middle of downtown Seattle
Food Not Fit For My Dog. At 3 p.m., I stopped in at Bruno's for a piece of pizza. This was my first time at Bruno's. For $2.73 I got a piece of pepperoni pizza that they should have paid me to take. It was awful. It was dried out and almost flavorless. I have never eaten at Bruno's before, and after this initial experience, I never will again. I give Bruno's a big fat F. When you get near Bruno's, do yourself a favor and just walk on by.
Great Pizza. Great place to grab a piece of pizza. If Italian is not your thing you have the choice of Mexican food as well. The atmosphere is great. The owner is there, and working right along with the other employees. The resteraunt has been there since 1973. Must be doing sometthing right!!!!!!!! Pizza was tasty. Would highly recommend to anyone.
