Slow, incompetent, but expensive. Went to Soundview July 22. Waitress didn't bother to write our order down and ignored me when I asked her to check on our food after we waited 1/2 an hour. After waiting a full hour, she finally got around to checking and found out that no order had ever been given to the cook (because she forgot to). She came back to our table and told us that it wasn't her fault but asked if there was anything else she could get us. Before I could respond, she snapped that they were now out of what we ordered. We walked out without ever receiving an apology. I recommend eating out of a trash can if Soundview is your only other choice. It was the rudest treatment I've ever received. By the way, the view is better at Cutters and they actually serve you there. Also, it's drafty and cold in there.

Definitely Won't Return. The view is the only positive thing about this cafe. I should have gone elsewhere when I walked in and was the only lunch customer at 12:30, but decided to give it a try. With two other tables after mine, it still took 20 minutes to get a rubbery cheeseburger. The fries came out 10 minutes later! And were covered in fryer crumbs. Lunch was much less than appetizing and at almost $10 definitely not worth the price.

Strickly for the Sound View. Sound View Cafe is a good place to go if your goal is a decent place to eat before a day at the market. While on vacation in Seattle, I ate here three mornings and ate something different each time. By far the best entree was a veggie frittata. The menu is limited, offering a handful of breakfast creations, sandwiches, soups and salads. Service is alouf, and don't expect too much information if you have questions about the menu. Also, the restaurant serves no beef or pork, so beware if you like your eggs with bacon, ham or sausage- no pigs or cows here, just turkeys and chickens.
