Great Happy Hour. We stopped by after work yesterday for Happy Hour. It was really nice because it is so dreary here in Seattle and I felt like I was in Mexico on Vacation. The drinks Margaritas were strong and tasty appetizers were delicious. I am happy I found this place there are not many Mexican food options in Downtown Seattle. You should go it is a little hidden at the end of Post Ally down by Seneca.
Horrible Experience. I have never left an establisment feeling so gross. I was so full of grease that sank to the bottom of my stomach like a rock. Then, 3 hours later i was violently hurling up everthing i ate. Dont ever eat here the drnks are expensive and weak and you will literally hurl up your guts.
Never found a worse restaurant.
Stunningly bad. I'm a Seattle local, and I know we don't have great mexican food. But this was a new low for 'bad'. There were two tables occupied - first bad sign. But we were hungry and ready.
The salsa was a red water. The nachos were straight from the dorm room. Pile of chips. Scattering of fried ground beef. Masses of crappy cheese. Microwave. Everything soggy. Toss a few chunks of tomato and onion on top. No olives, beans... shoot... anything. It was soggy chips with oily cheese. I couldn't believe this was "super nacho".
Main courses were just mounds of cheese and tomato sauce on top of ... something not exactly hot or cold.
But the best part was that even though we were one of three tables occupied, we couldn't get anything. Beer, salsa, a bill. Nothing. We had to get up and go find someone for each thing we needed. This was 7:30 pm. I never ever ever leave nothing for a tip. Except tonight.
On the Harbor Steps there's a Guaymas. I've never been there, but it simply can't be this bad. Try it.
Authentic Mexican but Expensive Margaritas. Good food. Authentic Mexican dishes. Good service. Margaritas were expensive unless you get well drinks.
Hole-In-The-Wall Dining. We wandered into this resturant because it was close to our hotel and we were in the mood for Mexican food. The atmosphere is too bar-like, but we figured we'd give it a shot. However, we left disappointed. The chips were soaked in grease, the salsa was watery, and the chicken in the taco salad was wet. To top things off, the waiter/bartender spent more time watching the Mariners game than serving us. On the plus side, however, the Expreso Vegetarian Burrito is delicious and huge, making it the one bright spot in an otherwise depressing meal.
Horrendous Service.
Two friends and I went out for dinner there and waited for over 1/2 hour for a table. After we were seated we ordered drinks and food, we received our drinks in a decent time, but after an hour of waiting for our food, we gave up. We asked the waiter who stated that the "kitchen lost our ticket". He offered to buy a round of drinks for us. Last I checked, we were hungry not thirsty. After talking with the manager, who promised to make things right, nothing happened. We left and swore we would never come back.
P.S. they lost my credit card for about 20 minutes after we ordered drinks. How can anyone want to go to such a place?
Great Atmosphere. My family and I have been to 3 or 4 different locations and every time has been a very good experience. We do frequent the Auburn resturant the most. Never have wait for a table, service is prompt and curtious, great choice on the menu and the prices are affordable, especially for my family of 4. I always do recommend it to friend...have taken friends and family from out of town there for dinner! Great casual dining!!
