I don't know what I would do without this place!

by SK99 at Citysearch

Like I said I don't know what I would do without this place. I was uncomfortable and in pain for years and I didn't know what chiropractors did. A friend gave me a reference for burick chiro and I made an appointment. I went in got checked out and the doc's are great and now I feel great and get adjusted regularly. Awesome.

Great chiropractor!

by kathy84849 at Citysearch

I have had such relief from my neck and upper back issues from getting adjusted. The pain went away quick but I decided to keep going to keep it away and maybe get even better. The massage therapist is pretty good too. I just really recommend this place. Thanks

Sketchy insurance claims!

by skye97 at Citysearch

I was drawn in by a group coupon deal for massage, then found out my insurance covered chiropractic as well, so I figured why not. I was happy to find a chiropractor who didn't do manual adjustments, which I can't stand. And I have to say, I did get some relief while going regularly (up to 3 times a week at the end of 2010, in order to take full advantage of insurance coverage). Unfortunately, it has not lasted...my neck pain started coming back about a week and a half after I stopped going there, which surprised me. I thought that for the regularity with which I was having adjustments, they would be slightly more lasting.

Unfortunately, I was sketched out by their insurance practices, and finally decided to leave after my insurance company refused to cover one of their claims. At the appointment, I even told Dr. Burick that I didn't think the insurance covered what he was doing, but he blew me off and said he was sure they did.

I had also overheard things in the waiting room that made me suspicious, and I asked the reception what happened if the insurance denied coverage after a client had already received care. She told me (quite unprofessionally, I thought) about one client who had racked up quite a bill and then it turned out their insurance had denied the coverage, and now they were paying it off over a long period. I know that insurance companies are not easy to deal with, but I got a bad feeling about the way she described it to me.

At the same time, this receptionist asked me regularly whether I would like to schedule massages. This seems normal enough, but I have called my insurance company on multiple occasions to ask about coverage for massage, and every person that I've talked to has said that I do NOT have coverage for massage. However, the receptionist at Dr. Burick's said that when she called they said I had unlimited massage covered at 100%. Luckily I knew this wasn't correct, but even after I shared this with her she kept trying to get me to schedule massages. And each time I reminded her of this, she just gave me a blank look, like we hadn't had this conversation several times before.

So, maybe I'm being overly suspicious, but I just don't trust them with insurance billing anymore, and would recommend that if you do go there, you be very cautious and know exactly what your insurance covers.

Chiropractic helped me! I was shocked.

by Seahawks8383 at Citysearch

I had wicked back pain and neck pain and it had been going on for awhile. I talked to my MD and he gave me muscle relaxers, reluctantly I tried them but it still didnt help. Surgery was brought up as and option because I had some spine joint disc and degeneration problems, but I said no way. Surgery seemed like too much. I decided to go to a chiropractor since they are spine doctors I guess so it seemed logical. I had never been to one before. So I looked around on the internet and found some good reviews on Burick Chiropractic. I called, set up an appointment and went in skeptical that popping my back would help. I met the Dr's and they were super nice and explained exactly what they did and after I understood "popping" or "adjusting" and what it actually did with moving joints and helping them increase their ability to move it made sense. They did a pretty thourough exam which also surprised me cuz how much could u do right? After the exam Dr. Mark explained what he found and decided to adjust my whole spine. So here we go I thought. He had me lay on the table and pushed on my back and pop pop, put me on my side and pop pop, on my back pop pop in my neck which freaked me out but it felt pretty good immediately after he was done. I was also sent home with a stretch or 2. It's sounds funny but immediately after the adjustment I felt lighter and looser. Anyways, long story short I went in on a pretty frequent basis for a little while and followed his recommedation and I have been pain free for months. I still go in for regular adjustments cuz they feel good and I don't want that frickin pain to come back. So, Burick Chiropractic is awesome in my book and I think more people should check out chiropractic cuz it really does work. I wish I would have years ago. Cheers, Bob

This Chiropractor get's 5 stars

by scene at Citysearch

I started coming to Dr. Burick after many years of not seeing a Chiropractor. I was a bit nervous that I was going to feel loads of discomfort like I had previously experienced from the other chiropractor I had seen but I was willing to give this one a shot since I knew I could benefit from chiropractic care.

Dr. Burick uses KST, a non abrasive technique with an adjusting tool that helps relieve tension and also corrects the spinal structure. That is a big bonus for me since I've been in a few car accidents and I had a few injuries from hiking and rock climbing in the past.

There is even a massage therapist on staff and she does an ace job working out my sore, strained muscles.

I'm able to sleep better at night, I don't have as many aches and pains in my body and my headaches have been infrequent. I'm also starting to change certain lifestyle habits and dietary habits in order to continue my road to natural health and well being.

I don't know why I waited so long to seek treatment but i'm happy I'm getting it now.

  • Pros: Effective, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable
  • Cons: why didn't I come here sooner?
