The Scene
Local art adorns the aqua-blue walls, setting the informal Mediterranean mood somewhere between cafe and bistro. Service is very friendly, but servers can be a bit overwhelmed during breakfast and dinner rushes.
The Food
It's hard to beat breakfast, particularly El Greco's version of eggs Benedict--two poached eggs perched atop a pair of potato pancakes, melted Gouda and doused in a bath of sumptuous tomato sauce instead of hollandaise. At dinner, the menu is more Mediterranean than Greek, with Moroccan chicken and Italian risotto joining the usual lineup of hummus and baba ghanoush. A lamb burger smothered in garlicky tzatziki, served with perfect sweet potato fries offers a Greek twist on standard diner fare. The restaurant boasts a variety of vegetarian options, including salads and pastas like the house special--sauteed, crispy penne with eggplant, olives and capers.

4 of us went on Sunday for brunch. I was impressed by the choices on the menu, very creative and the combination of ingredients sound excellent (e.g. charizo + monchego or brie/apple/avocado omelets) The execution, however, wasn't as great as expected. We all thought our omelets were a bit too blend/dry, and the egg Benedict was just so-so. the yam fries were excellent, but everything else we ordered were just all right, 3-4 stars decent to good, but not 5-star "wow". would go back, but wouldn't consider in the same league as Cafe Besalu or 611 Supreme

2 of us went for brunch on a saturday at noon, no wait which was great. service was attentive and we loitered for 2 hours after we finished without any type of complaint from the staff. food was very good, their eggs benedict was fabulous and i'm not usually a fan of eggs. the sauce is a tangy tomato based sauce and the potato pancake as a base is such a clever touch. delicious. the french toast was also excellent, really nice flavors and definitely something special. i will say that i thought the portions were a little small and the dishes come with no sides. ie, french toast was 3 pieces of bread and toppings. eggs benedict had 2 small pieces of bread and a wedge of fruit. i'm a small gal and i was satisfied but not overly full. i'm pretty sure my husband would have been hungry after one of those dishes and would've needed a side.

We had read good reviews of this restaurant for Sunday brunch, so we were excited to give it a try. After we were seated, a server brought us water. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Not a single employee would make eye contact with us as we sat there and sat there, and sat there. As we sat there for almost 15 minutes without even getting menus, other people were seated, brought drinks, and ordered. In such a small place like this, it was just amazing - it was like we weren't there. Finally we just gave up and left. I don't support restaurants that have no respect for their customers.
