Editorial Review for Broadway Grill – by Fred Brack
The Scene
A cool remodel added to the fusion-confusion of this hugely popular Broadway hangout for the young and hip. Twenty-somethings congregate in the front room, chatting furiously and looking out onto the sidewalk cafe and the human parade.
The Food
Food quality ranges wildly. The smoky, moist rotisserie chicken is terrific and the over-praised burgers on white-bread-y buns are mediocre--the deep-fried fries and appetizers, however, leave much room for improvement. Recommended bites: generous salads on chilled plates and a soup of smoked chicken, black beans and bits of broccoli--it's so thick it could stand on its own without a bowl. Morning fare includes egg dishes, pecan Belgian waffles and specials like prime-rib hash--some being available anytime. Lunch ranges from sandwiches to pastas to an ahi gyro. Dinner brings the addition of modestly-priced steak and prime rib. The bar pours good drinks, many of them clever/campy.

Insider Tips
Where to SitAvoid sitting at the aluminum counter near the grill, where you'll be forced to watch cooks in dirty tunics wipe your plate's rim with filthy towels.
ParkingParking is seldom easy in the Broadway District, but there are two pay lots two blocks south on 10th Avenue East.

When I want cheap GOOD food, I go here for Happy hour. I am a student and lived in Seattle my whole life so my schedule is all turned around from the norms. The happy hour is mid afternoon till 6 and any time after 10 pm till 3am.... 3 DOLLAR SLIDER burgers, HUMMUS, BEER, AND FRIES. I'll eat it all, it's so good. I love the people there too. The waiters can be really unfriendly sometimes depending on which one you get. I don't know, I like the food really... and service isn't that bad. Just ignore the tip if they are extremely rude and pompous.
Pros: GOOD FOOD, COOL people, OUTDOOR sitting for the summer, Good happy house, Cool looking interior designing
Cons: THE WAITERS

They should not call themselves a neighborhood grill. They are the worst neighbors I've ever had! They play loud music all hours of the night, now matter which night or how busy it is. The kicker for me was the night they decided to clean the outside of their restaurant at 1-2AM in the morning using a very loud pressure washer. They are horrible neighbors and I will never eat there!
