What People Are Saying About Toscana Pizzeria

In Short – Painted red, green and white like the Italian flag with red glass-topped tables and thoughtful Italianate accents, this small, friendly pizzeria is a favorite of the Capitol Hill's late-night crowd. The Toscana classic pizza is the house specialty, a heady mix of chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, cheese and red and green onions on a base of creamy garlic sauce reminiscent of fettuccini alfredo. Vegetarian pizzas, pasta dishes, panini and salads are also offered.

A great Pizza! and great place to watch soccer

by bortokali at Citysearch

The Toscana pizza is to die for. The place is small and cozy, remind me of Milan, Italy. I love the staff, very friendly, I love that they always play soccer channels on their TV screen. I truly recommend it for all my friends.

I needed a quick pizza fix and wasn

t expecting to find a good slice a pizza in that area. Luckily we stumbled upon Toscana Pizzaria. I'm planning to go back. It's not easy to find good pizza in the west coast as it is so pretty pleased to have found it here.

Not good

by jmdesarno at Citysearch

The only redeeming quality to this place is it's location and convenience. I REALLY don't understand all of the 5 stars. Is it a joke or just friends of the owners?

  • Pros: Next to the Summit
  • Cons: Taste

Best Pizza Ever!

by pizzagourmet at Citysearch

Being a small, locally owned business, I had to give Toscana a try. I found their pizza to be way better than Pagliacci, or the other so-so pizza joints. Now, I order from them at least once a week, and it hasn't done my pocket book much damage, either, because their prices are very reasonable.

  • Pros: delicious, reliable, friendly, budget-friendly
  • Cons: I just can't get enough of their pizza!
