Great Enviornment, great service, great Studio!. Located off of Broadway on Capitol Hill, Studio 229 is one if the best spas I've ever been to. The studio itself is very modern, upbeat, and lively ( I LOVE the artwork and flowers...and the reading material, haha), which I find rather refreshing. Everytime I go in, I'm welcomed warmingly by the owner Deanna, as well as all the other staff. The service is always to my satisfaction and I appreciate that the employees there are extre

mely attentive, and not satisfied until I'm satisfied. I would also like to mention that while the hair stylists are exceptional, the estheticians are remarkable; the new member of the Studio 229 team, Kurt Dickson, is absolutely amazing, he made waxing the goods (Brazilian) simple, quick, and as painless as could be. He is a wonderful addition and I would recommend him to ANYONE who needs assistance with anything regarding the skin.

All in all Studio 229 is the real deal for Capitol Hill! Take a chance on it, you will not be disappointed!!

Awesome Hair Styling. DeAnna is a wonderful hairstylist. She is extremely professional and fun. The other stylist are just as much fun. I'm always completely happy with my haircut from there. The salon is very clean and organized with a great presence to it.. Everyone is extremely friendly and personable.

Great place for hair and facials!!. I had a facial done by Katrina and she made my skin so soft with a wonderful glow, she also maintains my perfect brows!

To complement my beautiful skin I see Deanna for perfect hair. She always answers my many questions about color and the results we pick are always a work of art. She also gives me great cuts and always has products that work with my thin hair.

Studio 229 is a very fun salon to visit. All the stylists are kind and experienced and I really enjoy my appointments.

Great Hair Cut!!!!!. I had my hair cut at another salon it ended up sticking out here and there. I was wearing a hat because of it.

I had heard that Studio 229 was a very good salon. I needed a redoe badly. I didn't think anything could be done but Chloe performed a miracle!!! I now can go out without my hat. I will get my hair done at Studio 229 from now on!!!

I had a facial and body wrap done by Katrina. It was like being at a wonderful spa!!! I was in heaven.

A quiet peaceful state and in the hands of an Angel!!!!

Great Haircut and Facial!. DeAnna gave me a great haircut. I'm always picky when it comes to my hair and she did an exquisite job. She was extremely knowledgeable, making me feels very confident that my hair would turn out as I desired. I recommended this salon to all of my friends.

I returned to Studio 229 to receive a facial and I was equally pleased. The esthetician, Katrina, was very friendly and educated. That's the best facial I've ever had. I highly recommend this salon to all.

best hair desighner in washington. If it weren't for Studio 229 owner DeAnna I would have been destin to a life with one bad hair day after another. DeAnna was able to fix an extreamly bad bleach die job that was created from another hair dresser. My hair was broken and damaged beyond what I thought was fixable. She did her magic and I now have a great cut and color. I have sent all my friends to her and all have been extreamly happy with her care,and talent.

Best Place I Know For Haircut/Dye job. In the past, I used to go to a beauty school to get my hair died and cut. The beauty schools might have been cheap, but they messed my hair up more than anything. I have been getting my hair done at Deana's for about six months, and the first time I went in she spent more than 5 hours on my hair recoloring it to undo the damage from the other salons. She puts a huge amount of effort into making your hair look amazing, and is willing to take the time to do it unlike some hairdressers ive had who may get tired or impatient. I know that she has been in the salon business for more than 20 years, and is very knowledgeable about what colors look the best, what cut complements your face... It is well worth the money and I get innumerable compliments from my friends about how "natural" it looks. I would definitely recommend this place.

Always friendly and great haircuts!. I'm very picky with the type of haircuts I get and was tired of not getting what I wanted at other hair salons. I've now been getting my hair cut regularly with Deanna for 2+ years and I'm more satisfied with the quality of her work each time. Not only does she listen to my instructions and ideas for my hair, but she also is able to transform my instructions into amazing haircuts.

At my latest haircut almost three months ago I told her I wanted to grow out my hair to have long layers in front and in back, with no bangs--- she was able to give me the haircut and style so that now that my hair is longer, I have exactly what I asked for-- my hair has grown out and the haircut I got has adapted to my longer hair. She is very talented and knows what she's doing.

Overall, I'm impressed with her professionalism and the quality of the service. She's also honest about what she thinks of your ideas, which means that she offers useful feedback.

Deanna/Owner not professional or honest. The owner colored my nieces hair and did a terrible job. My niece ended up with hair dye all down the back of her neck and on her face. Deanna, the owner, who did the dye job, also ruined her shirt and didn't even seem phased or sorry about it. Deanna promised my niece a refund, but the check never showed up. Deanna is dishonest and rude. I would not recommend her, not sure about the other stylists. I was totally disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.
