Go to Brown Bear's drive thru wash instead. Yesterday, I had my car detailed at Scott Sherman in Magnolia. I had the full $200 detail (but cost me $100 courtesy of a Living Social deal). When I got home, I noticed that my tire rims were still filthy, so I went back this morning to see if they could clean them up real quick before work. I was told by the detailer that the black gunk around my rims was brake dust "that had eaten into my rims and would not come off." I told him that the same brake dust comes off everytime I take my car in for servicing and cleaning at the Landrover dealership (every 6 months). He took the rag in his hand and rubbed some of the brake dust off and said "Maybe Landrover uses something we don't have. Sorry."

I've posted a picture of my rims post Scott Sherman's $200 detail job as my profile pic. After I left Scott Sherman this morning, I went straight to the Brown Bear drive thru car wash in Ballard. This same brake dust which had "eaten into my rims" came right off with a $12.95 Brown Bear drive thru car wash.

Quality service, high integrity and convenient!. I'm the daughter of 3 mechanics (yes, 3), and living so far from that network of free auto repair, it PAINS me to have to pay actual money to get my car worked on. However, since I've started going to Scott Sherman, I have to say that I have felt no remorse about shelling out repair and maintenance dollars. Knowing how a lot of shady mechanics work, and knowing more about cars myself than most shops would give a girlie girl like me credit for, I can honestly say that I would refer ANYONE to Scott Sherman with confidence that they would never ever try to cheat anyone, even the most naive customer. They tell you what your car needs, but don't ever try to push for more than the essential. If you car does actually need a total overhaul, they give you good recommendations for how to do things in phases, should you not be able to afford everything all at once. They also make it super convenient to keep your life happening while your car is in the shop through their convenient pick-up and drop-off service, and free roadside assistance program. I can't recommend Scott Sherman highly enough. Much less money than taking your car to the dealer, and much higher integrity than most shops I've seen in my lifetime.

Trustworthy. Car broke on freeway. Being from Redmond and with no referrals, the tow-truck dropped me at Sherman's. I felt really at their mercy, couldn't go for a second opinion, etc. (I was releived to see some good referrals on this City Search.) Result: great service, great work with a complex set of issues and a very fair price. So, I was motivated to share my experience.

Great Price & Service. Starting from the front desk with Michael to the GM who gave me a ride to work - Scott Sherman knows how to take care of their customers. My co-worker referred them to me and they gave me a competive quote and explained everything. I have a newer model Toyota Tacoma, so it shoudn't be that hard to work on, which is exactly what they told me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Scott Sherman Auto Care. The best service I ever had. They really understand how to take care of customers and my Tahoe! They went through my car thoroghly and told me in detail everything that was needed and helped me decide what to do right now. The truck is running great. They also gave me a great Customer Care PRogram for free. This included a rewards card with money for a later service, roadside assistance and a national warranty. They also told me they will send me a note when to come in based on how I drive and the manufacturers schedule...awesome! I hadn't thought to write a review until I received a follow up phone call from a third party asking me about the service so they can make improvements to their business...they really understand how to take care of vehicles and people. Great Job!!

Consistently Great Service!. I have been a customer of Scott Sherman Automotive for the last few years, and I have received nothing but outstanding service. Both the owner, Jeremey, and the manager, Chris actually care about their customers and have always provided me with honest estimates and good service. It's not surprising that they recently moved to a much bigger location. Scott Sherman Automotive has been around for several years and I will continue to take my car there to benefit from their great service.
