What Our Expert Scouts Say

Lighthouse Roasters
January 19, 2013

It's one of Seattle's early independent coffee houses and it's stood the test of time for good reason! Quirky staff and a location that compliments this caffeine destination. On a hot summer day, there's no better place to hang and enjoy an iced latte and the view!

The best.. After moving to San Francisco, I am bitterly (pun intended) disappointed. I miss Lighthouse Roasters and their golden shots of caffeineated ambrosia. I miss the perfect steamed milk that is light as a feather and consistently foamy. I miss the little decorations poured into the tops of the Lattes. I miss that first sip that arouses subtle roasted almond memories and tingles across the tongue. I miss the friendly banter, the local artwork, and the smell of burlap from the piles of imported bean sacks. I'll see you next time I'm in Sea-town, Lighthouse. Double tall latte.

Worth Driving 1500 Miles For. I'd drive all the way from Colorado to get this brew. In fact, I do. In the city with the best coffee anywhere, Lighthouse is the best coffee going.

This is non of that trashy starbucks crp. I first discovered this espresso in the early 90s from the cafe solstice on broadway serving it up. It always had a distinctive nutty blend that was never bitter and often had a chocolaty taste to it. Later Espresso Agogo in fremont served it and i was re enchanted. I have since moved to Fall City but I still drive to fremont to get 5lbs a pop for my home espresso maker (la pavoni). I cannot say enough good about it. It is simply without equal in my book. They even roast the beans there on the spot, a few batches at a time. Peter

Great Beans!. I go out of my way to buy my beans at this place. The atmosphere is personal and the quality is better than almost any coffee I've ever had. I only wish I lived next door so I could hang out there more often. Do yourself a favor and try the coffee at Lighthouse Roasters.

Get Cranked Here!!!. If you love quality coffee, look no further. This place roasts its own beans and makes crazy good shots of espresso. I buy my beans here all the time. Check it out. When it comes to coffee you won't be dissapointed. They also have pastries, but I can't coment on them as I've never tried one.
