Seattle >Diva Espresso
Best Coffee Ever.. Part of my exercise routine is to walk our toddler, in a stroller, to get the family's weekly pound of coffee. Every Saturday I walk some 60 blocks, round trip, just for Diva's special "Highlands Special Dark Roast Blend" Look for the purple bag. It's the best coffee that there ever was!! No joke, I take my coffee seriously and I have found none better. The staff are all super nice and everyone of them works with the quickness. Believe me people, if a guy that hates exercise can find motivation to walk 60 blocks for Diva's coffee (when there are perfectly good coffee shops mere blocks away from my house), the coffee has to be that good...and it is. And at $11.00 a pound it's affordable. Since when is the "best", of anything, affordable? Nearly never. Thanks Diva for keeping us well cafinated!
Diva Espresso on Lake City. I went in recently and ordered a short latte. I noticed that I was charged for two shots. Not wanting that much caffeine, I ask if the short lattes come with two shots normally, and am told that they do not. Nothing else from the cashier at that moment, and I ask, "Is it the same price for two shots?" "No," is what I'm told, but there is no move on her part to offer me or give me a refund. While 60 cents may not be a lot of money, I can't understand not even the gesture to take care of having overcharged me. I don't kow how to read this - arrogance, casualness. While I like this spot, I am really thinking of not coming back.
Cappuccino and iced mocha chumley. I got a cappuccino and mocha chumley, and they're pretty good! the cappuccino definitely has more espresso flavor than what starbucks or other "mainstream" big corporate coffees offer. Parking and seating are limited, but if you're not planning on staying for long, just ordering to-go, I'd definitely recommend. I think I'll try their americano next time---- seems like pure shots in water bring out the true flavor of espresso.
Best cafe atmosphere in North West Seattle. I used to frequent this bit of cafe heaven every morning on my way to work. But sInce our business has its own barista and espresso bar now (sigh), I never get here anymore except maybe one weekend a month when I golf. Staff are polite, flirty and coffee smart. Their menu board will satisfy anyone's coffee tastes no matter how peculiar. The interior is what I would call Bellevue Square meets Capitol Hill. It's just a great place to call your own.
No Diva's Here!. Diva's Espresso is a comfy, cozy shop perfect for grabbing a coffee and reading the stranger. Not diva-ish at all! The staff is extremely personable, and make great drinks! They know me by name, and remembered my order after only a few times of ordering. I recommend the Diva Chumley! It's Diva-licious!!
I (heart) Diva!!!. Diva Espresso is great! I have never meet an unfriendly barista--many of which remeber your name and you usual coffee beverage. The coffee is really good, I think the best in Seattle!
Nice Spot. The servers rock and chances are they will remember you and what you like. The place is small, though, and if you enter from the wrong way you get dirty looks from the snotty customers. The seating is comfortable but can be hard to come by. Unfortunately, they have decent parking, so the morning commuters are encouraged to stop here. They are usually the impatient ones and are easy to spot. If you are a local, this place is hard to beat for a cup of coffee if your timimg is good and you can sit and watch Greenwood go by. Food is limited, but what they have is decent.
What a diva, this Diva!. Diva's is the best addition to the Greenwood neighborhood in a long time! The location is perfect, they have parking, and their coffee is to die for! It's very unique and always brewed richly and very fine. For a while I was getting nothing but their chai tea because it was made better every time I ordered it. They have a nice, laid-back atmosphere, beautiful decor, quiet, great place to have a nice quiet conversation or read a book and relax with some good, warm coffee. In the summertime, they have a lot of nice iced drinks as well!
Great coffee, nice people, good atmosphere.. Complaints about the coffee are surprising to me. I've always had a great experience. I usually have an americano so can't comment on syrups and such.
A coffee bar with the Midas touch, evident in both the decor and the coffee..
It's like a tiny home, perfect for the surrounding residential neighborhoods. The opulent decor reflects the owners' passion for antiques. The most dramatic examples of their collection swing from above--chandeliers of crystal, glass and gold. Diva serves up a smooth espresso variety called Vesuvio, roasted by Batdorf and Bronson in Olympia. Other offerings include Tazo teas, juices, Thomas Kemper sodas and pastries.
