Great shoes and service, at first glance. I bought a pair of cute Dansko shoes that broke after about a month of regular ware from Mirage. It was very strange because I've had plenty of Dansko's in the past and I still wear them today. When I took them back to Mirage and talked to the 2 women who own/run the store, they looked at me and made me feel as if I had done something wrong. In fact, they told me I must have done something other than walk in them to have them break the way they did. They said they would not take the shoes back unless a cobbler told me that it was a defect.

My problem is, I tried to support a local shop (I literally live in the neighborhood) and buy a brand that I trust, but they both failed me. My recommendation is to shop at REI or Nordstrom where they accept returns/defects and back up the brands they carry.

Good looking yet comfy shoes. they have very stylish shoes yet functional comfortable shoes. Not a huge selection but worth stopping in. Staff is very helpfull and not pushy at all. They encourage you to try other places if they don't have what you need.
