Lotus Thai Cuisine is GREAT!
by lenns2 at Citysearch
My husband and I love this place! We come here both to eat in the restaurant itself, which has a quaint and cosy ambience, or to get their food to go. The fare is diverse and flavourful, and the service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommended!
- Pros: food, ambience, service, location
- Cons: none
Don't bother with the combination plates
by mavhayley at Citysearch
Yuck. I spent $7 on a combination plate today and it was WAY worse than what I would have gotten at the local mall's food court. Tasted like it had been on the steam table since yesterday's lunch specials. I'd eaten here once before several years ago and it was decent, but I won't go back again! Don't waste your money.
- Pros: Quick
- Cons: Food is tasteless, overpriced, yuck.
Worst Thai Ever
by shopedogg at Citysearch
I love Thai food, and have never found a restaurant where I couldn't eat what I'd ordered until I tried Lotus Thai. The Phad Thai was tasteless, the only flavor came from the spiciness, and the noodles were gummy. The basil beef was over salted and the meat was chewy and rubbery. I had ordered take out, and after a few bites, we threw it all away. There are so many wonderful Thai restaurants in Seattle, don't waste your money here.
- Pros: location
- Cons: The Food
Pad Thai Good, Crab Rangoons Not so much
by minnesotan_1981 at Citysearch
The pad thai was average, nice amount of sprouts. I ordered spicy level 2 and that was enough for me. I also ordered the appetizer sampler and it was good, too. Except for the crab rangoons. Dry, more chewy than crunchy. I've had better dipping sauce, too. But they included a yummy peanut sauce for the satay and that was great. Definietly worth trying again, but with caution.
darned good thai . . .

my girlfriend and i were waiting for our food at lotus thai once when -- completely out of the blue -- one of my eyes went on the fritz and became really, really dilated. my girlfriend was very concerned and suggested we rush to the hospital (something a call to "ask a nurse" confirmed was a good idea). i, however, was intent on eating that delicious thai food. so what if i was dying, thought i, when i could partake in a delicious meal while doing so.
after dinner we went to the doctor where i was rushed for an mri and the works. they found nothing.
i suspect to this day that the dilation was just caused by my giddiness over the food . . .
