Good coffee. Went on a Friday night and actually found a booth to sit in.

We were served immediately even though the place was kicking. I ordered 3 appetizers to share with my group and it was more than enough food to keep us happy through our drinking. Cajun tots are always tasty, the hummus platter was better than I expected and the artichoke dip and chips were great.

I ordered hot drinks since it was windy and cold outside. The amaretto coffee nailed the spot. We ended up staying there for a couple hours drinking. The server was able to quickly serve the drinks and juggle a busy and loud environment.

The beers are great. I've been to many McMenamins from Edgefield in Oregon to Six Arms up on Capitol Hill. This place lives up the the McMenamins standard.

The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars: I went to celebrate my birthday there with a friend and the waitress was terrible. No happy birthday or even a smile out of her. She was rude. I've still gone back and she doesn't work there anymore.

Worst burger. I recently ate at this and had a horrible experience. Our server was bitter, the app was cold and the burger was aweful. I think the bread was a few days old and the meat was overcooked. The pitcher of beer we ordered was the best part of the night. A total waste of $20.

Best Beer. I recently went to Dad's and i had the best beer ever! They have their standard beers pouring at every location, but each place has a couple special beers and dad's beats all of them! I even saw that you can do tours in the brewery, which i thought was pretty cool.

Great place to watch that game when it might be packed else where. Was able to watch the super bowl here without a HUGE crowd. Could eat and drink without a BIG wait for service.

Who's my Daddy. This place is great on all counts.

My only regret is that Casey has left for the Madrona Alehouse. Still, the service is great.

Captain Neon to the Rescue!. Man, Dad Watson's is the BEST!! My boyfriend and I end up going there most of our "dates nights" to celebrate yummy burgers, great beers and a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere.

Great Happy Hour Pub. Good pub grub, big portions and good beer. I only wish they didn't allow smoking, it just makes the food taste a little less yummy.

Fremont arm of Oregon's McMenamins empire provides tasty ales, antique charm and a family-friendly environment.. The Scene
Though large and wide open, this Fremont pub's dark-wood interior, accented by vintage lamps and signs, gives the space an intimate feel. Twosomes tend to linger over conversation at the long, question mark-shaped bar, while groups prefer huddling into the comfy booths for games of Scrabble. An outdoor seating area is available in back, but the front patio--a perfect place to watch the world go by--fills up faster.

The Draw
Dad's specialty is the same as at the McMenamins Brothers' other pubs: brews. Crowd favorites are the Hammerhead Ale and Terminator Stout. Either paired with a Communication Breakdown burger is a treat for the taste buds. More adventurous drinkers may want to sample a Safari Brandy from the company's Edgefield Distillery.

Great Pub Fare. Our favorite McMenamins in Seattle, Dad Watsons is a fine local pub. If you're new to McMenamins, be prepared to try some of the best microbrew in the Northwest (don't dare ask for a lager) and some very good, typical pub fare.

One thing I love about the brothers McMenamin is how each location is truly unique, and retains a strong tie to the neighborhood. Also check out the art on every exposed surface, always a fun trip.
