Highest Quality Sushi on Earth. Musashi's is so good that they usually have a waiting list to get a seat. Please don't tell you friends about it; I don't want to have to wait for the best sushi in town...I want it now!

An inexpensive but speedy little sushi house.. In Short
This tiny Wallingford spot is jammed most of the time with a ravenous cluster waiting outside and frenzied double-parkers running in for carryout. It isn't all that easy to find inexpensive Japanese food in this town, but Musashi's delivers with flair. A skewer of grilled teriyaki beef, chicken or mixed vegetables goes for a dollar or two. Miso soup is a bargain and the sushi is fresh, plump and extremely affordable.

Great sushi for an even better price. Musashi's on 45th is easily overlooked as it is squeezed on the busy 45th street that is riddled with restaurants of all sorts. However, If you pass the restaurant at 11:30am (their opening lunch time) you can't help but notice the mob of people sitting on the white plastic chairs and standing with theirs noses pressed against the glass awaiting the opening. Here is the home of in my opinion some of the greatest sushi Seattle has to offer, and for practically nothing! The restaurant is very small but offers a great miso soup and for a mere $2.60 you can buy 6 LARGE pieces of the best califronia roll in town. Take out seems the way to go because of the lunch demand, while you're there try the california rolls! Recomended.

Reliably good, inexpensive sushi. Come on, people, where do you get off bashing a place where 2 people can eat like a king and queen for $15!? It's not the best sushi in Seattle, but it's wonderful for a younger couple who loves to eat out, loves sushi, but can't max out our credit cards with pricier meals. Start w/ the noodle salad. All of the rolls are good, they have always done custom rolls for us so that we get exactly what we want. Very casual, and you get what you pay for, we're there at least once a month and always come back for the great flavors at an affordable price. Can be busy but there's a quick turn around time... come early or come on a week night.

Good (but non-traditional) sushi. The sushi here is definitely non-traditional. The seafood on top of the rice is definitely way too big so it loses the delicate balance between seafood and rice. The sushi is way to big to finish in one bite even by a 6-foot tall guy like me. (One should be able to finish a good, proper sushi in one bite and finish the seafood and rice at the same time.)

That being said, this is still the best sushi I've ever had since I moved to Seattle 1 1/2 year ago from Vancouver, BC. The ingredients are fresh and the price/quality ratio is very reasonable. (I wouldn't expect to get top quality sushi at this price anyway.) I mean, I've paid more to get worse sushi in Seattle.

Worst Sushi Ever!. My family went here for a decade. It was consider top notch Sushi. Today, there are so many restaurants offering sushi and this is NOT where to go. I am disappointed that Musashi's went downhill. Our family; 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations of Japanese American from Beacon Hill, used to drive 30 minutes north to go here. Why was my sushi the size of a tennis ball? The sashimi was cut jagged and I could see bits of Tobiko from someone's California roll on my Hamachi and Maguro sashimi! 'Super size' does not belong in Sushi as it totally ruins the delicate flavors. I had to bite 3x to eat my Ikura! Nigiri is supposed to be one bite. When you are buying Sushi go for quality, not for quantity! I'm sorry Musashi, but the 5th generation will not be frequenting this place.

Two people eat for under $25.00? YES!. My wife and I LOVE Musashi's! The menu is limited, but the food is fresh, fast, and delicious! The sushi is good but the teriyaki is amazing! Order the skewers of beef, chicken, vegetables or shrimp. They are only a dollar or two per skewer!

Tasty food. The menu is a bit limited but what they offer is very good. And the prices are very reasonable. Expect a wait to get a seat but calling ahead for take-out always an option. I wish Musashi's was open on Sundays but many Wallingford businesses are closed that day. Darn.

A disappointment.... I had heard rave reviews of this place from friends so I was excited to finally try it. I figured the wait would be worth it, but I wish I'd gone to one of the empty Japanese restaurants down the street instead. The fish did not look or taste fresh, the seaweed had a weird texture, and there is very little on the menu to choose from. The tuna in particular was not very appetizing. If I ever return to this restaurant I will stay away from sushi.

Excellent sushi, excellent price!. This is some of the best sushi you will find for the price. It's a little cramped if you eat in, so get take out and enjoy their great food at home.
