Editorial Review for Costas Opa Greek Restaurant – by Anna Roth

In Short
Clay pots and old-fangled instruments hang from the ceiling, a large mural of the Greek gods dominates one wall, traditional music plays on the sound system and the welcoming owners know frequent patrons by name--this spot feels like it's transplanted straight from Athens. Multi-level seating options include long tables and comfy booths. The menu offers enough souvlaki, spanakopita, gyros, moussaka, calamari and other Greek favorites to satiate anyone's inner Dionysus.

First of all, MORROL, uneatable is not a word. Why in the world would I trust your opinion on Greek food, as if you're an expert or something, when you don't even know English? Inedible is the correct term, and that is something that Costas Opa's food is not. I have eaten at Costas several times, and have never had a mad meal or experience. I have even been to Greece, and many of Costas' dishes are very authentic. Yum. I know where I'm going for lunch!

Pros: yum, belly dancing, lots of seating, location

Cons: ?

I have worked in Fremont for 24 years and have eaten here at least 200 times. I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently good and some items (all salads, moussaka, baked chicken, hummus, melitzana salata) are among the best I've had. The service is dependable but not as friendly as one might like.
