Vegetarian Goodness!. This is a great neighborhood breakfast/lunch joint. If you get in on the early side they have some super great breakfast deals! It's all vegetarian, so you don't have to worry about your west coast hippie friends struggling with the menu. The staff is polite and attentive, and the food for the price is a good value in my opinion. There is an interesting history to the place too.

Great value. I've been going here for breakfast for years. The service is always very friendly and it is great, healthy food a a good value. They usually have a special omelette and waffle on the weekends, which keeps things interesting.

Best Vegetarian food in Seattle. Everything we have ordered here is great - try the Neat Loaf. The staff is wonderful, the menu is fantastic. Even when they are busy it is a relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely the Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Seattle!. Sweet atmosphere, kind service, and delicious soul-food for everyone. Only wish it could be open more hours! I really enjoy the items on their lunch menu.

Fantastic. My only complaint is that I don't get over there enough. I was just sitting here thinking how tasty a curry of the day from silence heart nest would be and realized that it has been far too long since I made the trip to Fremont from the CD. Go eat there, you'll love it.

Tasty food, Friendly service. In my search for finding Seattle's best breakfast places, I stumbled upon this little gem in Fremont. One way to distinguish whether breakfast will be satisfying or not for me, is the homefries that comes with my eggs. They did a good job with them with a decent balance of flavor and crispiness to the potatoes. My omelet was also great. I enjoyed my food and will become a regular I predict. Good little breakfast nook.

Quirky Sri Chinmoy devotees serve up real yummy food. What could be more fun than joining a semi-mystical group of sari-clad women for tasty food and unconventional cultish ambiance. Fot those of us who thought the Hari-Krishna's were cute for their kind of dopey well-intentioned naivete, sit down and get served well prepared food instead of doctrine (well not much at least - there are index cards with Sri Chinmoy's wisdom on them and photos of him playing insturments, painting, and bench pressing dump-trucks). Black beans and salsa with poached eggs and toast are killer, waffle and pancake specials are generally spot on, and the drip coffee is imbued with something magical, as it goes down better than most espresso in the city of espresso. Service is sublime but one feels as though the uber-friendly waitresses might be involved in religious servitude. Tom Robbins eat your heart out. Don't drink the Kool-Aid.

Weird name, awesome food.. I've eaten here three times now, and the food has always been exceptional. They have the best mashed potatoes I've ever tasted. The neatloaf sandwich and teecino are also really good. There's a good selection of teas and a daily soup/entree. I haven't had anything bad yet. The waitresses are friendly and happy to answer questions. This has become one of my favorite Seattle breakfast spots, and Fremont is a nice area of the city to visit.

Delicious Vegetarian Food. This is a sister restaurant of Ananda Fuara in SF (which by the way has a more expansive menu and tastier food). The atmosphere is "eh", the service is exceptional and the food as always is delicious. It is a bit overpriced but all in all I think it's worth it. Each dish is creative and well executed especially the "neatloaf dinner" which is mock meatloaf made of grains, cheese, nuts, eggs etc.. I highly recommend that dish over all the others.

Expensive with poor service.... I've been to LSD four times. It's close to a friend's work so I'd go there afterwards. The food is *excellent*. I've been really pleased with everything I've had. The french toast is the best I've ever had, and I love the chicken sandwich with the spinach salad. Yum! However, the service is scant and slow. The tables are sometimes dirty. It's also a poor value - they last time I went they charged me $1.50 for a side of syrup! I swore I'd never go back. (This after waiting 30+ minutes for my food.) So, take a chance on it if you have extra money and don't mind poor service - they have good food!
