Chutneys recently moved to the Southwest corner of Wallingford Center, which is at the corner of N 45th Street and Wallingford Ave N, in Seattle. The interior is delightful with Indian accents throughout.

Authentic tandoori dishes come from a traditional clay oven. Curries with chicken, lamb and shrimp are cooked to perfection. Kothmir Chicken, cooked in a coconut curry sauce, is excellent. The soft naan bread is warm and enticing.

We invite you to join us for lunch or dinner.

Editorial Review for Chutneys Bistro - Wallingford Center – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
Chutney's made its name with standards mixed with "Americanized" variations on Indian flavors. Dishes range from traditional vegetable pakoras (deep fried vegetable dumplings) to chicken tandoori, marinated in yogurt and baked in a round clay oven. The signature tikka masala, with chunks of lamb bathed a blend of butter, cream and curry, is as rich as it sounds.

I love good Indian food. I would have loved for this to be my local restaurant. However, the owner who obviously works very hands on, is very rude and snooty. Especially for the mediocre food and an over-priced lunch buffet. All of the flavors were very dull and disappointing. That was my last time.

I feel like it's my duty to tell everyone out there to please try Chutneys BIstro's Rasmalaii next time you go there or if this is the first time you're planning on going there. It's so good that my husband and i always get it to go even after having a serving each there. Please try it. I'm not sure if it's on the menu or not but ask for it. I promise you will love it.

Pros: Rasmalai, tikka masala, parking, service

Cons: wait on weekends once in a while
