We Love It Even More.
We have enjoyed LaBotana as our favorite lunch spot. The lunch menu is excellent, but don't miss the tortas on the inside.
Recently we were there for the best dinner value I can remember having. The menu is extensive for such a small restuarant. The dishes are listed in Spanish, but there are good English descriptions of each. There are several prawn full meals for under $13.00. The rice and beans served with my meal were very tastey. There serving of prawns was delicious and so generous that two of us were able to have lunch from my left overs the next day.
We found the place clean and cheerful. The staff is friendly, and service is quick. If you want a fancier atmosphere, get take out and serve on your own china with candlelight and flowers at home.
not very good mexican food. We keep trying to find good mexican food in our neighborhood and recently tried La Botana. It wasn't very good. My fahitas were greasy and the pork was tough. My husband's chili releno was inedible. Beans and rice were blah. We ate at the back of the restaurant and even though we were located about 20 feet away from the restrooms we could smell the cleaning solvent drifting from them. The whole place feels a little unclean. Pass it by.
