In Short – This "home of the world-famous 12-egg omelette" could also be called "home of the rock and roll bussers" or "home of alcohol-induced art." The 24-hour diner serves lunch and dinner, but is known for its breakfasts, judging by the lines that regularly form outside this modest establishment on Sunday mornings. The six-egg omelette comes folded on top of itself and draped over a plate of grease-heavy hash browns, while the 12-egger is served on a pizza pan.
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- Parking is tough on Aurora; turn on to Winona Avenue and look for the alley leading to a free lot directly behind the restaurant.
Terrible Customer Service
by slimbacon at Citysearch
Beth's cafe has a definite customer service problem and until they resolve it, don't go. Please note that I am writing this review 24+ hours after my first and last visit to this restaurant.
So what is wrong with the customer service? A few things first, the manager on duty at this time was Luke. My party of 8 and myself was asked to leave this restaurant because the manager was having a bad day. < I was told this by another restaurant patron that knows the manager and overheard the conversation between myself and the manager.> I simply inquired about how much longer was the wait time? My party of 8 and myself was told then to leave and upon requesting of the manager's name I was told that he will call the police. Which I responded with please do.
But the biggest problem, by far, was that I was first denied the managers real name. When I was finally told by the manager his name I was told Jonnie White. I left the restaurant. It was then the police arrived and I asked them to confirm the managers’ name. To my surprise his real name was not Jonnie White! It took me requesting of the police for me to obtain the managers real name. I would like you to know the police were very polite and confirmed that this was a civil issue and they have a right to refuse service to anyone. I thanked the police and left with my party. During the whole conversation I had with the police the manager that did not come out to speak with them.
There was no attempt of an apology or acknowledging they were at fault at any time. This was confirmed by a follow up phone call to the restaurant the next day in which I was trying to provide my contact information for the owners. All I was seeking was a meek "we're sorry."
Do yourself a favor and move along, please notice this is not the first review regarding their poor customer service.
CAN YOU SAY, CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES?
by rokcrazeeee at Citysearch
I gave it one star only because they wouldnt let me publish this without rating it first but truely, this place deserves no stars......My daughter and i went to BETHS CAFE for her birthday breakfast one day and even though the food wasnt the best i've ever tasted, we decided that we were going to make that place our weekly meeting place cuz it was kinda cool lookin inside......The second time we went i asked our waitress for a half order of the corned beef hash and when she brought the plate, there was so much food i asked her if it was the half order and was told yes........When we recieved the bill i was shocked to see they had charged me 11 dollars, 11 DOLLARS!!!! for this plate of food, I thought it had to be some kind of mistake. So I flagged down the person who had seated us and was yelled at to my face so loud that every one in the place was rubber neckin and could AND DID hear that, "they dont do half orders of that dish, and that the waitress that took our order has worked there for 14 years and she knows that so when i asked her if that was a half order, she probably thought i was talking about something else."....PLEASE, is the woman on drugs????.. He made me feel like i was trying to pull something over on them. While i was arguing with him about it, he was going back and forth consulting with the waitress that took our order, (now why she wouldnt' come to the table herself beats the hell out of me,. I'm thinking maybe she was the one trying to pull something, eh?), he comes back to the table one last time and brings me a new bill and says "I took 50 percent off your food THIS TIME, but you need to remember that we dont do half orders on that dish for next time you come in"......well, dont you think that someone needs to tell the waitress that then?!! AND what do you mean, "next time" YEAH like there will be one of those...oh and also ..can you say NO TIP EITHER ASSHOLLLE!!!!!!!. When i went up to the cashier to pay the bill, the person behind the counter didnt even look me in the eyes, she said not one word to me but was talking to every one else around me......They seriously need to give those people working there some customer service classes. About the food?? If that was the full order i got it sure wasnt worth no 11 dollars because although there was alot of food, it tasted lousy, and i'm not saying that cuz i'm mad, it truely was not very good,....my kids ordered the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were so hard they couldnt even cut them with there forks.

The Best Diner Experience
by RIWEST at Citysearch
If you are looking for a perfect definition of a Seattle Diner, Beth's is the way to go. Excellent service, interesting decor, and most delicious food that you can get any time of the day!
- Pros: Interesting atmosphere, excellent food, open 24 hours
Good Food Any Time
by LadyLuci at Citysearch
I've been going to Beth's for years and years and the food is good, the servers are usually fun and friendly, and the decor is always interesting. You can colour while you wait for your food (I recommend breakfast food, as it's their speciality), so the wait doesnt' seem that long and then you can stick it on the wall for others to enjoy! This place isn't high class and stuck up with folded napkins and soft music to distract you from the high price menus.... it's just good food!
- Pros: Open 24/7, Unique
- Cons: Hard to get into on the weekends
