The staff was extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They handled everything seamlessly. I have received so many compliments and have heard from many of my guests that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I would love to hold another event onboard the Skansonia. I can not say enough complimentary things about the entire experience. The Skansonia provided me with the quintessential Seattle experience that I was looking for. It was worth every penny.
IT'S NO LOVE BOAT..
I got married on the Skansonia March 2003. They promised us a few things they did not follow through on. One promise broken was to pack up extra food (we'd purchased extra for this reason). We had a lot leftover and they threw it all away!
They were rude to our guests.
The wedding coordinator yelled at me as we were leaving because confetti was being thown (it is not allowed). Despite the circumstances, the bride should never be yelled at by an employee of the boat.
Do not order the flower service. Use a private florist. They used the same arrangements for our wedding that were used the night before for a UW fraternity party.
This wedding experience was dampened by the rudeness of the Skansonia. I have great memories of my day, but the Skansonia is one I would like to forget.
just the right size and mood. i had a dance here for my sorority at UW. it was the perfect size, the perfect setting, and had great food too! there was plenty of room for people to get away from the croud if they wanted but also plenty of room for people to dance and have fun. i wouldn't mind having another dance here if i coud, it was perfect!
