As Seattle as rain, this bar is an institution in this city. Solid pub grub & a huge patio. Sunday bloody Mary bar & man-mosas in a pint.
Horrible Service. I used to go to Red Door all the time on weekend nights with friends but I will not be returning. The past few times I have had horrible service. Bartenders/waitresses are rude and inconsiderate. You have to wait in line forever to get a drink. This place is usually pretty busy but I've noticed in the past few months it's not the usual, trendy crowd, but a bunch of out of towners who must have heard this place was cool. I would not recommend going to Red Door; there are many other bars in Fremont that are far superior, where you can find more respect.
Best bar in Fremont!. I love the Red Door! It's chill on the weeknights and packed Friday and Saturday nights. The bartenders are friendly, and the food is good if you're looking for dinner. The inside is dark with wood all over the floors and walls. It's a good place to bring a date during the week- but go on the weekend if you are looking to meet people.
good singles scene and beers on tap. kinda reminds me of a place sorority girls would go....good tap beer....the location works and is a good place to meet friends or hang with the locals. it gets crowded and is good for singles and people watching.
You must be joking....
For your information, johndarksinned (nice Freudian slip, pal), we DO discriminate against one type of people: jerks with no social skills. Where do you get off thinking that you can belligerently hound our staff, call them "white trash" to their faces, and then have the gall to accuse us of being bigots? I've done some checking up on you with some friends I know in the service industry, and all of them say that you're just the kind of classless, annoying, petulant creep that would pull a stunt like that. In the future, you'd better have a leg to stand on when you go accusing people of something as pernicious as racism, be it personal or institutional. Too bad you're not welcome here; otherwise you could come in and see just how many great folks of every stripe and walk of life we have working here. And to those valued, loyal customers who are kind enough to come see us when they can, thanks a million for your continued support and generosity.

Red Door is terrible?. I can't believe in 2006 a place would have racism, in Seattle? This is probably my 5th time, I have been there. This place, has the biggest classic case of the good old boys. Peter the bouncer agreed with me tonight. I am technical, non nerd looking guy, who wanted to stand up for a woman who was not being served in her turn by the classic Jock Bartender. I spoke up, and I was not only discrimated against, Peter the bouncer was called in.
uhh Ugly people with Atitude and bad food. a previous post said the bar tenders were cute, Yuck, I thought they were ugly. Short, skinny, tanned at the local tanning salon, bad features. Some people there were cute, but not like all the other places in Fremont. This place has bad food, slow service, and uhh Ugly people!
great place!. If your looking for a crowded packed bar full of overdressed deusche bag frat boys than this is the place for you! I love waiting an hour to get a beer only for it to take 20 minutes to wade my way back to my table through hoards of gold digging girls..overall a great bar!
I've finally warmed up to the new location. I used to be a loyalist to the "old" Red Door because I missed the cozy atmosphere - but I've finally come around and learn to appreciate what the new one has to offer. I LOVE the outdoor bar and patio. They have a great beer selection. And really good food. I've only been there once when the waitress was a bit on the snotty side, so for the most part the service is quite good - even when the crowds start getting a bit drunk and disorderly.
A good place to end up. I would never go here to start the night, but it's fun ending up there, about an hour or two before the bars close. Yeah, its usually crowded, but its a good place to meet people and its usually even easy to get a table if you want one. Good drinks and good prices. The women's bathroom is always clean, too!
too much 'tude. go during the day or early in the week. it gets too busy, sweaty, and snotty later and on weekends. the bar staff may be cute but cant seem to stop checking out themselves to do their job. hold off on the shots and serve, be a rock star on your own time. the food is still good though and the beer selection is good, liquor is a bit over priced. its not belltown, as much as everyone thinks and hopes.
