Monday night karaoke ROCKS!. Monday night karaoke at the Dubliner is AWESOME! The karaoke host, Joe, is the best karaoke host I have ever had! He's very fair with the rotation & no one ever gets preferential treatment. The song selection has plenty of alternative & recently released music in addition to all of your old favorites. The crowd on Mondays is full of happy, fun, laid-back people. I am honored to call most of them my friends. I have met so many great new people since I've started coming to the Dubliner on Mondays. I always have a great time, the crowd is always really positive (no booing), and the host is really a great guy who makes sure everyone has fun! Bonus: they have Strongbow Cider on tap! This is truely what karaoke is all about :)…
Worst service I've ever experienced.
At first I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the Dubliner. I visited on a Friday night with a group of friends and enjoyed the live band immensely. However, at the end of the night, at about 1:20 am,
I found myself in the adjoining room, listening to the music requested on the jukebox. The bartender (mustached and grouchy) stalked in, yelling "Get the F* out and go home!"
My party and I stared in astonishment. It was moments after last call, we were frantically exchanging phone numbers as one friend tried to explain. The bartender yelled again, claiming two minutes was too much and to get the hell out before he kicked us out. Everyone left the room. I, however, was absolutely apalled at the service. I have worked in bars, and never in my experience treated the patrons as I was treated. If I were causing trouble, making a mess or alllowing my friends to mistreat the servers, I would understand. However this was not the case. Instead of letting the absurd treatment pass, I provoked more by talking back. After leaving the bar, a server came out and told me never to come back again. She hardly had to say a word. I would never, ever, in my life return, and i have advised my party to do the same. (they were each as appalled as I was, for we really wanted to enjoy a drink and leave). The sad mistake is really the Dubliners. The service believes that telling one person never to return, in hopes of embarrassing her or her friends, will not affect the business. (They did, in fact, use this exact retort towards me). They are horribly mistaken. One person, whether it is an honest and bad review, or a young woman who tells her friends of the incident, can make a difference. One person affects the ten that were at the bar, who in turn affect two or three more each...the numbers add up. Sorry, Dubliner, but the ugly truth is, the effects are all on you.…
Good Happy Hour, cozy couches in back.
It's too bad that they got rid of the big tv in the back. It was fun watching the game on the ratty old comfy couches. The wings here are ok, the happy hour good. $3 wells.
The pool table is alright, too...but only one.
The bartender was really nice to me, I was stood up for 30 minutes.…
Wednesday Night is DoucheBag Snohomish County Invasion Night.
WED nite holds good drink specials, even better than standard M-F happy hour. But it comes at a high price. So belly up to the bar and pop yo' collars, because WED is Northend Invasion and
Snohomish County Migration Night. Random acts of douchebaggery are committed even in bars like the Dubliner, despite a lack of estrogen and a dance floor.
But hell, the drinks are cheap.…
Average Irish Bar. The Dubliner's new location is much nicer than their older one. It seems a bit more spacious and the bathrooms are no longer scary. Nothing stands out from other Irish bars but this is a great place to enjoy a beer in Fremont.…
