Editorial Review for Murphy's Pub – by Ted Fry

The Scene
Murphy's reigns as a hangout for locals and a destination for visitors to the neighborhood. A fake fireplace sits in the middle of the room, facing a conversation area with big, comfy chairs that are the choice spot for listening to music from the small stage. Behind the bar, there are 22 taps featuring mostly Northwest brews and fresh, hand-pumped Guinness, as well as a stock of Irish whiskeys.

The Draw
The place is usually hopping, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when there's live music from traditional and contemporary Irish acts. In the back corner, step down to the darts area, where the action is usually competitive. This is the real thing: lethal steel-tipped darts and sturdy cork boards, not the electronically scored plastic setups found in most bars.

Murphy's Pub is a great neighborhood bar. Our waitress was very attentive to our 10 people table. The food was great and it actually came at a decent time. The restaurant was clean. They also got a great patio if you want to catch some sun. Overall, it was a good feeling experience. I would defi. recommend Murphy's to my friends.
