Editorial Review for The Buckaroo Tavern – by Hannah Levin
In Short
Accessorized lovingly with genuine vintage décor, this blue-collar biker hang out attracts a broad-spectrum with its welcoming neighborhood feel. Working-class stiffs sidle up next to aging hipsters, fresh-faced college kids, and retired hippies, either congregating around the reverse-L-shaped bar or nestled down in one of the oversized, dark wooden booths. Bar food is basic (burgers and such), but they offer nearly two dozen beers on tap, including a wealth of local microbrews.

I don't know why someone would ever say that a solitary woman wouldn't be safe in the Buck. That's probably the safest place to be at night. Frankly, sometimes people think it might be a gay bar because there's so many men, and so few women. Speaking first hand, it's DEFINATELY NOT a gay bar, but everyone's welcome....any race, nationality, or sexual preference. It's a great place.....and yes, they still have .25 cent hot dog Mondays.....(and free pool on Sunday!)
Pros: great people
Cons: long line for pool, no parking in back

It's smoky and it's filled with real Harley guys and it's a great place to play some pool in your jeans. The booths are full of scratched-in messages, many of them quite funny...it's the kind of place where it's ok to carve your name into the table, or at least it seems like it.
