Apres-ski on Phinney Ridge. No matter the time of year, it's always a winter wonderland at Sully's, a tiny, Bavarian-style A-frame lodge planted at the top of Phinney Ridge. Snowshoes and a stuffed goose decorate one wall; a gas fireplace occupies the other. In between are a pair of vintage pinballs, a few worn-in booths, several tabletops, and a slew of worn-in neighborhood regulars. Warm and cozy in January or Juneuary (Seattle's early summer can be kinda brutal) it's a great spot for sampling some 20+ unusual brews on tap, many of them local. This is a beer bar, not a cocktail bar or scene spot, which means it's OK if you linger over a game of Scrabble or pump the jukebox and rock out to air guitar with a pint in your hand. If, lo and behold, it's nice outside, there's a small beer garden right outside. Don't fear the homemade chili.

Owner's lost his way. The owner gets wasted and chases women (out of his place) including his staff (short term employment.) His customers are a bunch of loser yahoos that exert their opinion on anyone with half an ear lobe.

The place has great asthetic, and great potential, but until the first two issues are fixed (new owner and new tenants), avoid and cross the street to the Pub.

Mean locals, dirty beer and uncomfortable if you don't know anyone.. This place could be so cool. Too bad the owner is a weirdo and the locals that hang out there are too good for you and don't take kindly to new faces. Also it would help if he cleaned his beer lines. All the beers had this vinager buttery thing going on that was terrible.

Hang out with tim and his crew. The changes Tim made to the bar are great. The old bar was full of heavey smokers and drug usuers. I'm glad that messy crew went to the bottom of the hill, thats a good place for them Tim has a huge selection of beers on tap and there always fresh. Tims a great story teller and has lots of great events and or functions throughout the year. If you want some great beer and want to watch some baseball sullys is the place to go. Thanks for the great service Tim. See ya soon Tim.
