I have been buying water sports equipment from Robin and his staff back to the days when his shop was called Bavarian Surf. For 15 years I bought wind surfing gear. For the last 3 years I have been buying Kite boarding equipment. I keep going back because they have taken the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns and have steered me towards the right products at a fair price. These sports ain't cheap! Having a store with knowledgeable staff who work hard to get it right and stand behind their products only adds to the enjoyment of these great sports

I have been going to Urban Surf for my sporting hobbies since 1992 - first for windsurfing, then snowboarding (they don't do that anymore), inline skating and now for paddleboarding. Can't say enough good things about the staff's knowledge and ability to match gear to your skill and adrenaline level. Have recommended them many times offline and now here's to a thumbs up online recommendation!
Love, Love, Love Urban Surf

If you haven't tried paddleboarding yet you're in for a treat. Reallly great way to spend an hour after work on Lake Union. Thankfully Urban Surf is right across the street from the shop. I had a great time last summer doing it and loved the guys working there. This year three of my friends and I are taking boards out. They were fantastic in setting us up. Can't wait to go back.

I was in last week to check out new kiteboards, the shop was very busy with about 8 customers. The staff of two were able to help me and all the others in a very professional way. I've been in this shop several times over the past couple of years and have always been treated very well.

I see from the first reviewer that things haven't really changed here in the last 1-2 years. Good luck trying to get attention or help in this store!
- Pros: store locations is good
- Cons: staff is rude, prices are on the high side
