No lattes, no escalators. But this neighborhood bookstore in the heart of Fremont has much more to offer: personality..
In Short
The first thing you notice when you stroll into this downtown Fremont neighborhood bookstore? Not the wide range of books, but the comforting fragrance of wood. Oak shelves support a myriad of reading material--from gay and lesbian literature to mystery and fiction--in well-organized sections. Books are the usual retail price; renting an audiotape costs $5.00 a week. The large children's area includes titles from Maurice Sendak and Judy Blume, while "staff picks" adorn shelves throughout the store.
