view & uploadBest Haircut ever!. I used to go to a fancy salon downtown (I won't mention the name), but due to a little less cash these days, I thought I would try out Rudy's. The girl that cut my hair did an amazing job, exactly what I wanted for about 1/3 of the price I used to pay...I am in Heaven!
Stay Away.
The one serving me had lots of tattoos (as did every barber), big black earings (the ones that leave gaping holes), and her face kept twitching as she cut my hair which showed me she was nervous and had no experience.
She asked me what I wanted, I told her exactly how I wanted my hair cut. She did not follow directions.
My hair was uneven, she didn't lower my ears like I asked, the back was uneven from feeling it, didn't line up my beard properly, and she didn't put a mirror in the back of my head probably for good reason.
They don't know the difference between a medium fade & a high fade, they also act as if they're trying to be artistic when cutting hair so they can grab as much money as possible from you.
I wanted something that should have been their buzz price, but they charged me the $21 special cut price. These 'cool/trendy/uphip' places w/ all the tattoos and pictures on the walls... ya, stay away from these places. They'll act like they're professional, but they'll always be low quality and charge you an arm & a leg in this economy.
I ended up going back to my house and fixing up the errors w/ my beard trimmer... which were quite a few.

Long Lines, Good Peeps. I've come to this hotspot multiple times for a trim and always walked away satisfied. The lines can be horrendously long, and there is an a feeling of too-coolness from some of the stylists, but they have always been nice, and good conversationalists. They seem to know as much about what's happening locally as they do about hair.
Get a cut with some kitsch at this nontraditional barber shop in Fremont..
In Short
The wall is covered with pictures of models and movie stars, along with posters reminiscent of communist propaganda gone Gen-X. Rudy's is an anomaly in the world of barber shops, but don't let the facade dissuade you. This clean, efficient shop cuts and styles for all generations--from the Pokemon crowd to those old enough for senior discounts. It's also one of the few places in town offering the traditional straight blade shave.
RUDY'S SUCKS!!!!.
This place is the worst of it all - the too-cool Seattle attitude, combined with unskilled stylists who don't care about how you look after they get done mauling your head.
I have had two BAD haircuts from Rudy's, and have heard horror stories from other people as well. The worst part is that THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED with the haircut.
Do not support this business, you can get better, cheaper, friendlier service at your local barber shop
Not worth talking about. Rudy's gives the same haircut to everyone who walk in the door. I have had two different boyfriends go there and both were given the same hair!! I got my hair cut there once, it was simple and boring. Absolutely nothing to write home about. The best place in Seattle to get you hair done at is Vain in belltown. It is on first avenue between Virgina and Lenora.
