Bambi is Wonderful!.
I went to her after another stylist at a different salon gave me an awful yellow and orange foil (no, that wasn't what I was trying to achieve!). My hair was pretty fragile at that point and she managed to fix it without trashing it. She is very skilled at haircuts as well so if you don't like to make appointments weeks in advance call in and place yourself on the list for her the day you want to go. If you are new to Rudy's the way it works is your name goes on a list and as soon as a stylist is available to seat you it is your turn. If you call in advance you at least get the stylist you like once their chair is open. Bambi is also very nice. A lot of the stylists are over the top at Rudy's but she is very calm and sweet. I haven't been back to see her simply because she works Monday - Friday the same hours I work! You won't be disappointed.

Get a cut with some kitsch at this nontraditional barber shop on Phinney Ridge..
In Short
The wall is covered with pictures of models and movie stars, along with posters reminiscent of communist propaganda gone Gen-X. Rudy's is an anomaly in the world of barber shops, but don't let the facade dissuade you. This clean, efficient shop cuts and styles for all generations--from the Pokemon crowd to those old enough for senior discounts. It's also one of the few places in town offering the traditional straight blade shave.

Terrible customer relations.
The gal that sees to it you are waited on in an efficient manner has a lot of attitude and was down right rude to my daughter and me. A couple of weeks ago I called to put my name on the list and was told that it would be approximately an hour and a half so I came in then. I then proceeded to wait another 40 minutes with my toddler. This is a long time for her to wait and we had already gone through the snacks and books that we brought but I was determined that we would be waited on soon. In the meantime she delighted in handing me the shampoos that are set out at her level while I put them back in their place behind her. The dragon lady behind the desk told me "can you keep her away from here." Finally someone else with my name came in and we discovered that my name was never written down. Instead of making sure that we got in next she let someone else in before us and when I said it sure is hard to wait with a toddler she said "that's not my problem". It was clear that this establishment was not worthy of our business so we left. This place is not child friendly and I'll never go back!

Used to be good....
This barbershop is near where I live, and I've been going a long time. I was just in the other day, and all the good cutters I regognized were gone. I signed up anyway, and after what seemed like a long wait for how many people were there, I got called by a young person who didn't seem too thrilled. thats how I'd describe my cutt oo.
it was real fast and when I got home, I saw that it was all different lengths and really uneven. My neck was still a hairy mess, too. The woman behind the desk was real loud and she was gossiping about some other coworkers. I have been too afraid to go back or call, because the desk person and barber were both not very nice. I think I'll just go somewere else.

May as well go to the beauty college....
I tried going here twice and both times my stylists were recent graduates of the local beauty school...and it showed! Very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for:(

Seattle's best bargain.
Always a great individual style from any stylist. Walk-ins welcome, never a long wait.

Pain n pleasure.
Cool place, eclectic crowd. But i sat there for over an hour watching these people talk to eachother with open chiars. If you REALY like to read fasion magazines...for a long time, then this is your place. Once in the chair there was majic. It was like the Karate Kid I, only it was a haircut, and not a movie.
Show just a little hustle, or at least be subtle about slacking and you've got something!
