Best Day.
I had the best day at the Woodland Park Zoo!
The Northern trail is fantastic, one of the bears swam right up to the glass and the otters were zipping all around!
The hippo's were my favorite though, ok and the wild dogs, and the Tapir.

Zoo for a zoo lover.
Lovely zoo. Wonderful since it has grown over the years and doesn't have that feeling of being overly planned (yes, that means we got lost following the map!)
Good mix of animals. Nice exhibits. Good amount of information.
We went on a Sunday and parked free in the park nearby. It was a short walk to the zoo on well marked paths.
The butterfly exhibit was worth the extra fee (it was a sunny day). My 6-year old daughter and I watched for over 20 minutes as a butterfly emerged from its crystalis and stretched its wings.
