Nothing special.
I've been to a few Ruth's Chris Steakhouses accross the country and I have yet to really enjoy any visit.
On a positive note the Fillet mignon was fork tender although quite flavorless, mercifully it comes floating in a plate of garlic butter. The Ribeye however, is completely forgettable. If you want a steak, you have a myriad of superior options. I'd rate Ruth's Chris's food a notch above Sizzler. The service was consistently good, however never great.
Very good but Pricey.
My husband and I had dinner here before seeing a play at the Paramount. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Her service was grand up until we got our food. However, as soon as we got out food we didnt see her for 20 mins. This would not normally be a problem except we ran out of wine and water. By the time we were sharing a glass of water she finally showed up and appeared to be admonishing the busboy, so maybe it was his fault. Not a big deal, but I am pretty low maintenance and really all I ask for is take my order, make sure it's right and keep my glass full. For the $ of this place, seems they would have this piece down.
Food. We started with crabcakes. These were probably the worse crabcakes I have ever had. They were pretty tasteless. Not real heavy, but just lacking taste. We each had petite filets and shared the sauteed mushrooms and garlic mashed. The mashed and 'shrooms were incredible! I would go back again just for them. The steak was cooked perfectly, but for $35 it just didnt knock my socks off. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back, but will try a different entree.
Ambience was business casual with alot of friendly group dinners, etc.
This was a nice experience and the food was very good. I am just not sure it's worth $$$$.
Didn't get the "full package", but got charged for it....
This steak house is priced and positioned as a classy joint for tender steaks. The steaks are of great quality, but the negative aspects outweigh the positives in a restaurant that fails to live up to its presentation. The environment has a small splash of class, and the lights are dim. The majority of the visitors are in groups, so expect large friendly gatherings (making lots of noise) and not much romance. If you make a reservation for celebration of a birthday or anniversary, then you will get a scoop of relative confetti on your table.
Ruth?s C.S.H. suffers from ?franchise disease?: uncaring/inattentive staff and food quality that isn?t consistent.
My waiter didn?t give a damn about our celebration, after seeing the confetti he didn?t even smile or congratulate us, and was obviously in ?hustle and bustle? mode. He only checked up on us once, which was really pathetic because he didn?t even bring the food, water, or bread.
The surprise about the menu is that the steaks charge mid to high range prices, but do not include the traditional sides of salad, baked potato, etc. These are additional costs. The appetizers and sides I?ve ordered were nearly grocery store quality. So is the overall quality over price ratio good? No. The fillet and lamb are very tender. If you?re a fat loving butter eater, you?ll love the steak plates which are presented with boiling butter at the base of the steak. However, for the same price you could get double the entrees with superior sides, included with no extra cost, at a medium priced steak house (and you wouldn?t tell the difference with the service). This steak house simply doesn?t deliver enough quality in their food or service to justify the higher prices. If you have an obsession with steak, and only steak, then go ahead and give this place a try, but if you are looking for a classy join -- then look elsewhere. By the way, the bartenders? mixing skills are a joke.
Great Happy Hour!!! Reserve online for functions!!!.
Who can beat a $3 filet mignon sandwich?? Maybe it's a finger sandwich but there's two for $3. The shrimp over the garlic mashed potatos are very tasty. The ahi tuni mmmm! Happy hour here is great. 4-7pm everyday!!!
We also celebrated my brothers birthday here in July and it was fantastic. We made a reservation on their website and selected that it was for a birthday. When we arrived, the table was decorated with "happy birthday" silver confetti. It was a nice touch and we appreciated it. The prime rib was delicious, as always!!!
Best Steak I have every had. My boyfriend took me to Ruth's Chris for my birthday a few weeks ago and I have to say it was such a great night. When we were sat at our table they had put Happy Birthday confetti all over the table and sat us in a cozy booth for two. We both had the steak and the Au Gratin Potatoes and Brocolli and I must say everything was perfect. The steak you could cut with a fork it was so tender and the side dishes were to die for. Along with the great service and food they suprised me and let me pick a dessert of of the menu at no extra charge. I loved the whole evening and it will be hard to now go and order a steak anywhere else!!
A Great Evening.
I am having a problem with a few reviews that state that they did not like Ruth's Chris. I have visited Ruth's Chris on several occassions and have always had a wonderful experience.
The steaks melt in your month. The appetizers have wonderful taste, the wine pairing is without a doubt right on. Lets not forget the deserts... what a taste and a great way to end a fantastic meal.
The wait staff along with the management know how to treat their guests. My hat is off to Ruth's Chris in both Bellevue and Seattle. To a great experience and a great time.
Big Let Down. I went to Ruth's Chris new location in Seattle and I'm not sure if they got a new cook or what, but the food is just not how I remembered it. I used to die any chance I got to go to Ruth's Chris for the steak that would just literally melt in your mouth. Now...not so much. The steak was still okay but every piece of my meal was just missing something!?! Worth a shot, but not on the top of my list anymore.
Lunch is new for them and it shows.
I recently went to the new Ruth's Chris for Lunch and the service was sketchy, the steaks were under done or overcooked...not even one steak was right. The Beef Tenderloin salad was overdressed iceberg lettuce with 3 of the SMALLEST pieces of meat I have ever seen on it. for $15 I would hope that I would have gotten more then three bites of steak.
The banana cream pie was FANTASTIC though so perhaps I will go for just dessert next time.
Too limited!. The ambiance is lovely, the service was good and the food tasted fine the menu was too limited. You have your choice of two appetizers, two salads, a soup and six entrees. The Kobe beef that was raved about comes in the form of a burger! A tasty burger but not what I had been hoping for. The filet comes with a salad and fries as the side, we had already ordered a salad before dinner. I would have rather seen a few more choices of steaks and some veggies as sides. The wine and bar menus are amazing though.
MOUTH-WATERING KOBE BEEF!!. I don't even know how to start describing the taste of the Snake River Farms Kobe Beef. Its luscious.... For those who likes to eat beef, you have to try this one.. Order them rare(or med. rare) ... Yummy... Just in case anyone never heard of Kobe beef, go to google, type : "Definition: Kobe beef" <--- you will understand why. Oh..by the way, the service and atmosphere are great (but who cares about that, if the food is that great) :) Oh!! If you dont like rare beef, you better dont bother spend the money.
