Machine-made pasta surprises with its consistent quality..
In Short
Key to Pallino's vision is a machine from Switzerland that portions, cooks and drains a serving of pasta in 90 seconds; kids love the "pasta rocket" for the name as much as parents appreciate the speedy delivery. The pasta is available as thin spaghetti, cheese ravioli or chicken tortellini, and is topped with one of fifteen sauces that the staff prepares on the spot. Grilled panini, salads and sweets round out the menu.
Horrible food.
We went for breakfast and I ordered the sweet pepper hash. Not only was it bland, it was still partially frozen in the middle. Not even McDonald's serves partially frozen food, folks.
On top of that, our final tab was more than we should have paid for the quality of the food. Guess they're passing the cost of their fancy-shmancy plastic spoons and forks on to the consumer.
Do yourself a favor and skip it.
THE WORST PASTA EVER!!!. We went to Pallino's on the recommendation of my 90 year old father who lives in a nursing home. I should have known what I was in for, he's been accustomed to bland flavorless food and this was the worst. The pasta was utterly flavorless and completely lacking in innovation, and served with cheap plastic cutlery. Tacky. I'd rather have Kraft macaroni and cheese any day!!!
What happened?. We used to enjoy it. I think he has lost site of his original plans. Everytime we go in there there is always new staff.
