No Happy Hour. The website says Happy Hour everyday from 3 -5:45. It even has a price list and menu. On Saturday 2/19/11 at 4pm, my wife and I paid $5 to park and walked into FX's and asked for the happy hour menu. The bartender said " We don't have a happy hour today" When I said your website says everyday from 3- 5:45. He said " Well there's a Home Show so we don't have one" . We stayed anyway but never again. Business that cheat the customers should fail.

A little word of advice for FX Mc Rory's.... Went to FX Mc Rory's after Friday nights Mariner's game. I have lived a block away from FX for 4 years and in that time, Fri night was only my second time. Why you ask considering I live so close? The food. Period. The first time I went 4 years ago the food was overpriced for the quality. Considering there are so many other places to choose from in that area, I decided it was not worth it to go back.

Well Fri night, unfortunately I had the bright idea to give FX a try after the Mariner's game. We typically go to Elysian Fields, and King Street Cafe amongst others for good reasons. But this night...I said, "Let's try something new." Oh boy did I regret being the one to suggest FX. I thought that after 4-5 years their food would have improved and they would have realized, 'Hey we have some serious competition in our area now! We better step up our game!" Nope! Instead, they still serve bad to mediocre food at prices you would expect to see at a nice steak house.

We walked in and saw this really neat looking cold seafood platter on another couples table. It immeditalely caught my eye being a true Seattlite and seafood lover that I am. The first warning for me should have been when I saw the other tables female patron turn up her nose to the platter when her date offered her something off it. I just figured she was full; and not that she was turning her nose up because it was DISGUSTING!

Our server was great. Very nice professional gal. No problemo with her at all.

Anyways, she brings the platter of seafood and sets it on the table. True, it is nice to look at. But that is where the $31.00 buck stops. Yep ladies an gentlemen for $31, you two can have a platter full of melted ice, complete with seafood that is sinking into the ocean of ice and water it sits on. The only thing that was good on the platter was the small piece of salmon. It was ONLY good because you were supposed to smear some cream cheese on some crostinis and eat it. Other than that....the seafood was just a joke. The crab when I broke it open, had ice water drain out of it, and the mussels were so hard and rubbery I could have bounced them on the floor .I ate the crab and severely regretted it the next 2 days. My hands REAKED of crab! No matter how much I washed my hands, it would not go away.

By the time me and my 3 companions finished, I think our bill was about $80. For the nasty seafood platter and 4 drinks. Unfortunately, I regret advising we should give FX a chance. It has not changed a single bit.!Reading the other reviews, it is apparent I am not alone.

MY advice to FX. You guys REALLY need to step up your A game. You have Elysian, Cowgirls, Kind Street, Tiki Bob's, Fuel, Hawks Nest, Pyramid, and the new bar/restaurant at the Silver Cloud. You HAVE competition and you need to realize that you are going to lose business if you continue down the road you are going.

PS. Recently my company asked for a good place to take 20 people for a work function after a game. I did not recommend FX but another place.

Racism still exists in Seattle, thanks to F.X. McRory's!. I have been to FX McRory's many times with white friends and the service is normal. Every time I'm alone or with only black friends service takes 4 times longer. Just sat for 15 min (only 4 other tables occupied) and did not get served. Walked up to a server, asked for service and he said, "Kitchen closed 5 min ago." Went to the hostess in the front (the only preson who greeted me) and she confirmed that I had arrived in plenty of time to place an order.

Lesson learned, I will never go back.

I ask that you go somewhere else, too.

What happened?. I've eaten at Fx McRory's many times for lunch, dinner and even just for drinks before or after a game. Sadly, this was the first time my two guests had ever dined here. There were maybe 5 tables seated total in the dining room and staff loitering about when I was seated. I sat for a good 10 minutes before someone brought me water. The server eventually came and greeted me with "do you know what you want to drink?" My two guests arrived a short time later, and after the same greeting for each, we ordered our dinners. We were meeting up for dinner before the Mariners game and had plenty of time before the game started. I ordered the steak (med rare) salad, and the other two ordered the prime rib (med rare) sandwich and corned beef sandwich. Other diners who actually arrived after we placed our order were getting their food and eating. Finally after 45 minutes, our server came to our table for the first time to tell us that our food should be out shortly. Now we had less than 30 minutes to eat our dinner that had yet to arrive, walk the short distance to the stadium and half way around the stadium to our seats before the opening pitch. I had been there almost an hour and a half. Finally our dinners arrived. My salad had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp for most of the 45 minutes. The lettuce had wilted to a flat soggy mess and the steak was room temperature. My guests' food was thankfully warm enough and at least more appetizing to look at. Remarkably, all three meals were tasty; even my disgusting looking salad had wonderful flavor. I asked the server for a comment card and instead she sent over someone who never identified herself as a manager but said that she would talk to the chef and "take care of" my salad. As I said, I've eaten here many times and the food has always been good (not great, but almost reasonable for the price) and the service has been really great or at least adequate but nothing ever this bad.

Really lousy food!. This place is terrible if you are looking for good food and service. If all you want is a few drinks and a sandwich before a game then you'll be happy (maybe). However if you read the menu, about their aged steaks, etc, you'll think they are capable of making a good meal . . . they're not! Six of us ate there, and paid $357 for dinner. The steaks and fish were terrible. The filet mignon was $35.95, and half of it was fat - the executive chef that "hand selected" this should be working at Wendys. Then they charge you $4.95 for a half teaspoon of blue cheese on your steak! We even watched as they put it on the wrong steak, then scraped if off and put it on the right one. Unbelievable! The calamari had 11 pieces on the plate, and was cold on presentation. The only reason this place is still in business is because they are so close to the stadiums. Want a good steak, or piece of fish? Then go somewhere else. You'll be glad you did.
