4 small tv's is not a sportsbar. How can you call this a sports bar. This place has 4 32 inch tv's about 30 feet off the ground in the corners on the huge sitting area. Not only are there not enough and they are too small, but half the time I've been here two of the tv's are so fuzzy that you can't see them. Have you ever been to a sports bar? guess not because this isn't one!!!
"I Get No Respect". Inattentive waitstaff. We had to beg to get our check. Apparently a group of businessmen took precedence over other customers that evening despite two tables of two and this group of businessmen were all that were in the dining area. We give a ZERO to the waitstaff or a very failing F. The tip reflected this. The appetizer of Dungeness crab cocktail is awful, unless you like to be brought to tears with hot peppers. Our waiter politely offered a free dessert to cover my displeasure with the appetizer, however since I am not a dessert person this offer went to waste. Although our meals were good, I would not come here again due to the lack of attention by the waitstaff. I am sure the waiters thought the large group of businessmen were a priority and would provide a better tip than tables of two. Little did they know.
Not worth the hype. Bland, poorly cooked filet tasted dry, baked potatoe was completely ordinary and not well suited to the entree. Waitstaff was not knowledgable about menu or Oyster selections. Weak cocktails. Not worth the money or time - several other resturants in the Seattle area that take pride in their menu and do it well.
Slow, Expensive, Bad Value.. Would you pay $7.00 for a Cosmopolitan martini that tasted as if it had no alcohol? And slow service to boot? Then go to F.X. The drinks aren't always this bad, but they never have a happy hour price (but they will serve you a watered down quality of a happy hour drink). The wait staff is often very s-l-o-w. On numerous occassions, I have waited for far too long to have my order taken or drink refilled. I have finally given up on F.X. -- which is too bad because it's a pretty cool place with some history.
fx facts. bartenders are great, atmosphere is awesome, ya can't get any closer to the games
Pretty poor. This is a fine place to grab some drinks before a Seahawks / Mariners game, or to go watch sports on Tv whilst having a few beers, one of their many cocktails and munching on some fries. But man...their food is pretty BAD for the most part. I've been here 5 different times. The chowder was almost cold with chunks of flour in it. I mean are you kidding me? who is back there cooking this suff? Their burgers and sandwiches are sub par but cost $10-$13. There food would maybe be worth it at half the cost. The management needs to wake up and do SOMETHING with the kitchen. Get a clue. Great place to grab an expensive drink. Poor for expensive pub fare.
meet ya at fx's. best sports bar in town and what awesome food and drinks they have! seattl's best!
The apps are........
the apps are horrendous, not sure about the entrees
PS to citysearch: food and drinks should definately be seperate categories
Fun & Convenient. FX being so close to Safeco and the new stadium makes it a perfect place for the before/after game event. I have always received good service and the lengthy bourbon list is a huge plus.
Baseball awning. What to say.. FX is a good bar before or after an M's game, though not the least crowded or expensive in the area. The attached restaurant is decidedly more posh than the sports bar.
