fun place to hang out after a game.
Sluggers is a great place to hang out before & after a sounders/mariners game...The bartenders are always nice to us when we go in..They also make really good mini-corndogs :)

DON'T VISIT THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT SERVICE!!!!.
We recently went to Sluggers for drinks and snacks, however the bartenders didn't seem to know what was being served, nor did they care what was being served because they were too busy watching the numerous sports channels in the bar! Initially our party was served immediately, however we were just as quickly forgotten and despite our numerous "non"-verbal attempts (over a half hour or so), to get their attention from the tele to us, we could not shake them. Finally a rude and crude "whistle" to them was required. Greg, (our assumed manager), immediately became upset with us....accused us of treating him like a dog. All the while if he would have told us his name in the first place, and would have given some care to our party (like offering food!), we would have enjoyed our stay. Long and short: Guys who think they are "Pretty boys" like "Greg the Blank Bartender" don't make good bartenders. I know lots of REAL pretty boy bartenders who give better service to homeless drunks than he gave to us...the "potential" good tipping, happy customers!
Bit of Advice: Bartenders working at Sports Bars need focus on their customers NOT THE TELEVISIONS AND ESPN!!!!!!

Hard-core fans eat, drink, get merry and pore over priceless Seattle sports memorabilia--all in the shadow of Seahawks Stadium..
In Short
The convenient location and engrossing selection of sports memorabillia are this rowdy sports bar's biggest draw. Lively fans are always coming and going, stopping into enjoy a bite before the big game. Standard pub fare covers all the bases, including burgers, entree-size salads and broad selection of beers on tap. Larger parties take advantage of the upstairs--it's huge and has just as many autographed photos, jerseys and balls as downstairs.

Sluggers mistreats Seahawks fans!.
My latest visit to Sluggers will probably be my last. I usually go there before Mariner or Seahawks games, but no longer. The bar is always usually overcrowded, which I can see past, but I can't see past the poor service by the wait staff. I was recently in the bar, looking for some friends upstairs, when a waitress approached me and rudely said "Next time, read the sign" and pointed to a "Section Full" sign. I found my friends upstairs and we left without spending any more $$. Absolutely ridiculous. There are plenty of other bars in the area with better food, drinks and atmosphere than Sluggers -and with better service!! Not the kind of treatment a Seahawks fan should get in his hometown.

Excellent Lunch Getaway.
If you work dowtown in the Pioneer Square area and are looking for a relaxed place to grab a quick lunch, Sluggers hits the spot. The food is pub food for sure, but it is above average pub food. The burgers are excellent and the fish & chips hit the spot. The place is loaded with sports memorabilia and the mutlitude of tvs make it an excellent place to get away from the office.

Great Pre-game warm up!.
For sports fans, 37 TV's and one big screen should say it all. Throw in a great collection of Seattle sports memerobilia, cold beer, friendly service and you can't miss with Sluggers. Food is standard burgers and fries. Right across from Seahawk Stadium and two blocks from SafeCo Field. Small two story building so get there early as weekends get crowded.
