Cheers to King Street Bar and Oven. King Street is like a Cheers. All the staff are great, friendly and happy. Paulie makes my day! I work too far uptown to get there for lunch, my loss, but go for the happy hour drinks and appetizers. This is a good time, feel comfortable and welcomed enviornment. Oh..and the Clam Chowder...it is the simply the BEST!

Just the best place to eat in the stadium area!. I have to agree with Kaviksdad in the previous posting. King Street Bar and Oven is also my home away from home. I eat there nearly everyday of the week! The menu is outstanding and even with eating there as much as I do, I rarely have the same meal twice a month, except on Friday I guess. If you like clam chowder, you have to go on a friday. The clam chowder is the best you will have or ever will have!

Happy hour is also incredible, cheap, strong drinks and the best happy hour munchies around.

Troy and Christy have a great thing!

Go there and you will not regret it, I guarentee it!

Pioneer Square's best lunch spot. King Street Bar and Oven is my home away from home. In my opinion it's the best place for lunch in the Pioneer Square area. The food is excellent, the portions large and the hospitality superb. Paul, the "crazy" bartender mentioned in an earlier review, certainly knows how to make his customers feel at home and is always quick with a drink refill or a wry observation. The same applies to all the staff. There's a big screen tv on the wall, with several smaller televisions mounted around the restaurant so you can watch the game or keep up with the latest ESPN coverage while enjoying your meal.

The stars of the menu are the wonderful pizzas, calzones and salads. And on Fridays look for Jose's seafood specials - the crab ravioli and prawn linguini are my personal favorites. Both are served in a marvelous garlic cream sauce. If that sound enticing make sure you arrive early, as they fly off the menu and often sell out fast. I also recommend the prawn Caesar and chicken Caesar salads.

If is isn't on the menu they'll find a way to whip it up for you. To go orders are readily available. The prices are reasonable, the food is great and the staff treat you as family - family that you love being with. I give them 5 stars.

More than just pizzas and calzones!. This place has absolutely the best food. If you want something that is not the typical "bar food" then you should definitely check out King Street Bar & Oven. The Salmon BLT is amazing and the baked ravioli with the marinara sauce is sooo good too. Try the King Wings it has some type of sauce I can't figure out what it is. I travel to pioneer square during the lunch hour just to try something different on the menu and if you're lucky enough to get the daily lunch specials those are even more of a treat - Crab stuffed raviolli and authentic Chilli rellenos to name a few - homemade Clam Chowder too! The pizzas and calzones are totally awesome but if you can pull yourself away from those and try the other dishes you'll be in for some really good food it will be hard to choose. the service is great and the owners are genuinely happy to be there. A great place to go - I highly recommend. Now i'm hungry!

Love the chicken salad!. Troy and Christy and the boys (cooks) at Kingstreet always treat us well. The food is better than the average comparabley to the surrounding places to go in that area. The prices are good too.

We use this establishment as our staple lunch spot and conversation area to break up the daily grind. Service is always friendly ..I highly reccomend you try the Chicken Salad,Taco Salad and the Pizza is always good!

Crazy bartender.... This was my second time in this establishment. The first experience was good, very busy due to a Mariners game but the food was timely and delicious. The second time in was in direct contrast to the first, and bad enough to end any thought of ever visiting again. (though I work very close and would have made it a regular stop for lunch)

The food this last time was decent albeit not as good as the first, and because of that we inquired if there was a change of cooks.

To my utter surprise the bartender proceeded to tell my husband and myself that the reason we were complaining was due to some imagined experience ten years ago between myself and this bartender. This man went so far as to accuse me to my face that I was lying and that I did indeed actually know what he was refering to and was just not fessing up due to my husband being present. After I walked out in fury and amazement , he said to my husband that I was lying to him, and that I did indeed have some type of relationship with this man some 10 years prior.

I've never been treated in this manner before. Cannot imagine any business employing someone who would treat a customer in such a way. Needless to say, I will not give this establishment my patronage again, and I would strongly recommend to anyone, try somewhere else, lest you too get mistaken for someone from this persons past...

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Wood-oven pizzas and mediterranean appetizers bring a special touch to this Pioneer Square sports bar that also features live music and deejays.

Close to the Stadium, Great Food and Service. Just across from the North lot of the Seahawks Stadium is a great getaway for drinks and food... it's called King Street. The waitress promptly attended to us and made sure we had our drink order in as we were sitting down. The California Chicken Sand was outstanding and the soup was a superb addition. The Ambience is that of a home town sports bar and it's a great place to watch the game if you don't want to pay for a ticket to the Hawks. Grab a pizza or a calzone and it's a perfect combination to the beers on tap. Two thumbs way up for King Street.

Best breakfast in town!. Fabulous breakfast and lunch!! The breakfast menu says "If I have it I'll make it" and they mean it.

There's a daily lunch special including homemade soup. When I order a salad, I'm always impressed with how fresh the lettuce is.

Really great food and friendly staff. Plus, it's affordable.

Wow! Unplanned Find!. This place is terrific. After Safeco Field, a late lunch was in order and this place really fit the bill. Be sure and sit in the comfy leather wingback chairs near the front door, they are to die for...you can fall asleep there if you are not careful. Terrific food, and good beer.
