A Classic Taste of Old World Seattle. Exposed brick and natural wood finishes complement the warm décor of this old urban coffee shop. Nestled in midst of Pioneer Square office towers and street shops, this gem is one of the few coffee shops in the downtown corridor open late (past 5pm) or on weekends. The coffee itself is true art from baristas that focus, not on getting you in and out, but, on the taste and presentation of your coffee. It should be noted that the chocolate for their mochas is provided by Dilettante Chocolates, a local gourmet chocolate company.

In addition to their coffee, they also offer an array of sandwich choices, salads, fruit, and a case of pastries. Be warned that they often run out of sandwiches after the lunch hour, so arrive early. Should you be alone or with inquisitive company, Zeitgeist also promotes local artists with monthly updated lit displays.

THE BEST COFFEESHOP IN THE U.S.!. An excellent coffeeshop in one of the most eclectic areas of downtown. A MUST to visit! this is hands down the best coffeeshop I have ever been to; better than any in all of Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, or my current home of Phoenix. We will be stopping in when we visit Seattle later in the summer.

Beautiful coffeeshop. Zeitgeist is bar none the most beautiful, and inexpensive coffeehouse in downtown Seattle. There is great ambience, attractive baristas, interesting art shows, and delicious coffee. I would recommend Zeitgeist to any tourist coming through Pionner Square, or any local living in downtown Seattle ore the I.D.

Seattle's most stylish coffeehouse keeps Pioneer Square buzzing.. In Short
Exposed brick yields to saffron-stained wood shelving and a wall of glass. Put simply, this is a city coffee shop. Regulars from neighboring businesses stop in for shots to keep them going, while artists and writers cozy up to the scattered bistro tables outside. The baristas take their jobs seriously, as befits deep, smooth illy, the house brand of espresso. The cafe also serves a variety of pastries and grilled sandwiches at lunch.

Beautiful espresso!!! Great Coffee, Incredible pastries and sandwiches, Decodecodeco, did I say deco. Brian- This is a former groopie. You gave me some early lessons about coffee and roast profiles. My son and I own Metropolis Coffee Co in Chicago. I now know how much effort goes into maintaining quality after 2 and 1/2 years of roasting with running a a coffeehouse . Your place is great! You deserve all the success that you get.

The owner and staff are knowledgable and friendly; the feeling is wonderful, very much like my favorite places in Italy, France and yes, there's a Zeitgeist-looking place in Lima,Peru too. Hope to get back to Seattle soon and say hello, and enjoy a good cup.
