Editorial Review for Pacific Plaza Hotel – by Eric Lucas
The Scene
This mid-size heritage property offers economy in the heart of downtown's Hotel Row. You'll find tour groups rolling in by the busload, full of weary-looking Brits, each of whom has just bought a sweatshirt on Robson Street in Vancouver.
The Details
Nominated for best value hotel for its central location and comfy rooms, the Pacific Plaza has modern refinements such as voicemail and in-room movies. The rooms are comfy and a continental breakfast is included in the rate. "Business" guest rooms are slightly larger and offer computer dataports. Most rooms have deep tubs as nice as the high-falutin' "soaker tubs" found in hotels four times as expensive.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoThe Pacific Plaza has no air conditioning, but it's not a real problem unless you're a penguin or you schedule your Seattle trip during one of the city's rare 90-degree heat waves.
The ExtrasHungry? Nearby Tulio Ristorante serves up fine Italian eats in an old-world setting.

I booked this hotel because of its location and the website advertised it as "newly renovated." However, when we got there it was anything but. The staff was very rude! The woman who checked us in didn't say a word to us. Then we got up to our room, and it just got worst. I requested a room away from the elevator, and we were right next to the elevator. The "newly renovated" rooms had dirty, dingy floors, the wall paper on the walls was pealing and scatched up, and there was a hole in the wall that had been covered up by a piece of wall paper... they didn't even bother to fill it! The room looked nothing like the picture on the website. Id hate to see what a room that isn't renovated looks like...
Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Parking, Room Size and Condition, Service

Now called the Executive Hotel Pacific , It was recently remodeled with a very modern look . It has some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in , the room was on the smaller size I recommend paying the extra twenty dollars for the king room or the two Queen bed room they are much more roomy. There is a Seattles best coffeee and Jasmine in the lobby and you can walk anywhere nearby you need to go. I paid at least half the price as the hotels next door and across the street were charging IT WAS A GREAT DEAL!
Pros: Price and Location
Cons: No wireless in the rooms and parking is expensive
