5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Dress up or dress down, varity of people. I have been to this place so many times, and have laughed so hard I was laughing tears. Been to a lot of other comedy shows and it is nothing like this. I have spent up to $120.00 for a ticket to see some great comedians and still this place beats them all. Price is great, the comedians always relate to real life situations. Great place to bring your friends and adult family. Only one negative, hard to get drinks served to you once you are downstairs, load up while you are upstairs.

My name is Ron Reid and I am the manager of The Comedy Underground in Seattle. If you come to our club, please do not let the alcohol take you over. Your drunken unsolicited participation ruins the evening for other people, who paid good money to watch professional entertainers and not you. When I left the club on Saturday, a couple of drunk women who had nearly been kicked out of the show, were flirting with some cops in front of the bar. Then apparently one of them posted this on CitySearch: "What a joke! Posted by tineetee on 02/12/2006 We went on a Saturday night and the comedians were NOT funny. For $15 I would expect at least one of the 4 three comedians we watched to be funny. In addition to that, the crowd was expected to "Be Respectful". Ok, I understand no heckling because the comedians can't handle impromptu but come on, we were told to hold it down because we were cheering them on. We asked for a refund and got half our money back. * Cons: comedians, "be respectful", "be quiet & polite" * Overall user rating: Not Recommended" Un-Freakin'-Believable. First of all, they did not ask for a refund, and did not get any money back. Just in case the boss is reading. But most of all they were the usual ignorant, drunk types who think they're "helping" the comedians, and think they're "cheering them on" when they're actually starved for attention and can't keep their pie holes shut for 90 minutes. Among the comedians they "didn't think were funny" were Last Comic Standing runner-up and Tonight Show veteran Ty Barnett, and San Francisco Comedy Competition winner Bengt Washburn. I told them on the way out that they had ruined the evening for others, and they just didn't get it. After seeing at least once of them slide onto a cop's lap as he was parked in his black-and-white, I'd give them the benefit of doubt for being inebriated. But I guess they remembered enough of the evening to write to CitySearch.

Pros: Intimate atmosphere

Cons: Unruly ignorant audience members
