In Short
The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.

This is one of the best IHOPs that I have been to. The servers are all exceptional..and the food is always good. I especially like their rooty tootie fresh and fruity and their hot chocolate is very good. I used to go here a lot when in school..the atmosphere is pretty nice and relaxed. The only thing is that it's kinda smokey.

This place only stays open because it's in the U-District. it's dirty, slow, and the food is below what IHOP offers anywhere else in the country. (I've always gone to an IHOP when I'm surrounded by weird local sit-downs in the south) Try something on the Ave instead.
