I brought 2 pairs of pants in to get some basic hems done on them. I didn't consider the $10 price tag too pricey as others have complained about, but they did not do a great job at all. The jeans came out alright, though one leg was just barely shorter than the other. However, i tried checking out the back of my slacks by looking around. The lady, instead of telling me that the person wearing the pants can't actually tell the lengths of their own pants (twisting causes changes in the appearance of the clothes...it never came to me because I never handle clothes besides throw something on and go to school), she went ahead and told me that it was true that one leg was shorter than the other. So she measured them so that they would change a leg to match the other. THEN they told me it'd take another week, instead of getting it done quicker since it was their fault. Now whether or not the pants were incorrectly done the first time, I received terrible customer service when I returned to pick them up. I came with my girlfriend who has some knowledge about clothes and alterations because her mom taught her about some things to look for. My girlfriend took one look and pointed out the following: 1. They didn't bother to iron out the original crease after they changed one of the legs so it showed. 2. The hem stitching was very visible 3. Most importantly: they still weren't even The man at the store proceeded to patronize my gf and he actually started to get quite angry. At one point he just told her "well you mark it and then we'll see how it turns out". He said the original hem was fine...but if it was, why would the other worker tell me it wasn't? I just don't understand how they can't get 2 pant legs at least matching in length after 2 tries and then get angry at the customer for not liking their shoddy work. I left and will have to have my mom fix it. I was recommended by my sister for their 'good' price and 'decent' job, but I won't recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Price? (maybe just for basic hems)

Cons: Can't get the job done, r.u.d.e., doesn't put you on priority if THEY mess up, not professional

I checked this place out because it is so close to my house. I was completed shocked when I asked how much a straight hem would cost (nothing fancy--no cuffs--just a standard hem). I feel that this place and many others near this place charge too much because they can. I moved from San Diego in July, where I could get a hem for $7 (and people told me that I was paying too much there). Every place in my Seattle neighborhood now is between $14 and $18. Really, people need to know how places like this one are taking advantage of people.

Cons: pricey
