DON'T GO. The MIX locations are both closed - out of business. Greenlake location at north end of the lake, near World Wraps, is being replaced by a Ben & Jerry's (FYI)
Good ice cream. The mix is pretty good. I like their ice cream better than their milkshakes. The lines are almost always long and there's limited seating, especially weekend nights. The atmosphere is so so. The staff is very nice. Overall, I think the mix is very, very good.…
MANNA FROM HEAVEN!!!. A scoop of this homemade delight has to be a "little taste of heaven"!! Either location the quality and service is awesome. Late night desert craver's BEWARE! A few extra mile jog around Green Lake is definately a small price to pay for this reward.…

The Scene
On warm evenings, lines run the length of this long, narrow University District sweet shop and seating is extremely limited. Friendly employees stand in front of marble slabs
where they mix and mash everything from Gummi Bears to graham crackers (called "mix-ins") into the desired flavor of ice cream to create made-to-order treats.
The Food
The five flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt--chocolate, vanilla, sweet cream, cheesecake and espresso--are all made in-house. A blackboard behind the counter prescribes suggested combinations, including which mix-ins go best with each flavor. Try a waffle cone with strawberry cheesecake (cheesecake ice cream, graham crackers and strawberries) or, for a real caffeine high, a cup with Jet City Buzz--espresso ice cream and a shot of espresso.…
Cool Place, Great Ice Cream. Hmmm, I wonder if the negative review above came from a competitor. Didn't provide any reason why they disliked the place. Anyway, the ice cream's great. I've had chocolate, vanilla and sweet cream, which were all great. Very fresh and tasty. The toppings are also very fresh and there's plenty to choose from. I love the style of the place, but it's definitely not for everyone. Looks and feels like it's run by a bunch of hippie college kids (which I think it is). If your a little on the up-tight side, you may want to grab it to go :)…
